    We've been loyal to Celebrity for years (20+ cruises Elite+) and just completed five days in AQ on Summit while readying for 11 days in a SS on Beyond next month...an itinerary we booked while on board last year when tips and OBC were still included.  We usually book The Retreat, so, I'm most eager to see for myself how changes affect my experience before I totally jump ship.  That said, I have booked a ten-day Caribbean cruise on Silversea's Silver Moon for February 2025...about $10k for both of us in a "superior veranda" with pretty much EVERYTHING included.  Bottom line...I have to wait a year before I can formulae an opinion.  Can you wait that long?       

    Special dinner in Le Voyage?

    Got an email invite to this ”once in a lifetime” event yesterday, but, could not open the link to reserve.  When I called the Retreat concierge, she said it is just a standard reservation for dinner.  It sure looks like a special event to me…can anyone weigh in on this?

    During our recent back-to-back, we asked our PRH to bring tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa each afternoon during week one and a charcuterie plate during week two.  Rozita eagerly fulfilled our wish each day.  It was just another example of the super level of service and hospitality we experienced on Celebrity Edge!

    SS veranda table on Apex

    I’m sure we’ve all noticed the ever-shrinking table size on the Sky Suite verandas.  They’ve appear to have shrunken to little more than end table size on Apex.  So…how can I enjoy breakfast or dinner on my veranda?  How does the Personal Retreat Host set up the veranda for a meal on such a tiny table?  Has anyone successful requested a larger table for their SS veranda on Apex?  

    Are App Dining Menus you see Pre-Cruise Accurate?

    For the most part, yes...our app lined up with the lunch and dinner menus in Luminae on Edge last week...with the exception of the final night when the dinner menu was much different (and better) than what was listed on the app.  PS...wherever you dine, do NOT miss their onion soup!  It is easily requested from the everyday menu.

    How deep is ‘not deep?’

    As excited as my wife and I are for our day at JVD on Celebrity Edge next month, we are looking for clarification as to the distance from the catamaran to shore....specifically, if it is so deep that it is difficult to safely carry towels, phone and dry clothes without them getting soaked?  Also, how long is the boat ride to get there?   Thanks!

    Luminae-is it worth it

    We are spoiled by Luminae...the best part to us is that there is no rush. We like to take our time at dinner. The service is top notch...reminiscent of the days when they remembered your favorite cocktail, etc. Also, the tables aren’t bunched so tightly...it has a true restaurant feel that you don’t even find in Blu. The food is also fantastic...we say ‘go for it.’
