  1. Of course...certain groups may represent "life areas" that are not my favorite choice for my vacation $$.

Say for instance, you grew up with a phobia re "clowns"

Can you imagine everywhere you looked on board...there's no escaping the maniacal smiles of flappy-footed, scary dudes/dudesses that undue all those hours of therapy?

Anyway, this absolutely is helpful info...!

And please... This has nothing to do with PC over-sensitivity.

    Anyway...Just clowning around:D

Love your sense of humor, Mike:D

I always google my cruises and groups and once have cancelled as a result...

Also, Often venues may be closed for private functions- only available for the groups. This can be annoying.

  2. How many service animals have you seen on a cruise?

That's not the point...others have understood it: Taking advantage of a valuable service for personal selfish desires.

Look, Trying not to let my genius IQ to get in the way...:o

I really am a nice guy,

...really good looking too, according to the legally-blind, Amish lady I met a a local Hookah & Vapor Connection.:p

Anyway, I like to use some sarcasm and humor to point out the increase of cruise passengers claiming entitlements...

I just hope that those that genuinely benefit from this wonderfully, great program are not negatively impacted.

Consider this: Think of the day when my "service mongoose" meets up with your "Service Cobra".

A "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" cage fight occurs in front of children who,"just wants to pet them"???

    Ouch! Scarred for life...

I know this is absurd......or is it... Maybe, I'l run this by my new friend at the Hookah Hook-up!???

  3. I cruise 2-3 times a year . I only play penny slot machines on cruises and have yet to lose .I do lose frequently at on land casinos .

    On a cruise 7 months ago I won $847 .On a cruise 5 months ago I won $201.

This reminds me of the many bingo players who only remember their winnings... The question really is, "How much did you INVEST to WIN the $847 and $201?

So, how much did you feed the one-arm bandit to get "your"winnings"?

  4. And this is a surprise. Gambling houses have always taken more than they give out.

Missing the point.... it's regarding the absolute lack of cruise industry's casino accountability, not just that "the house always wins"...I.E. Cash cube machine where a robotic hand is directed and dropped on stacks of $$.

The pneumatic squeeze- pressure can be adjusted higher or lower, depending on cash payout desired...The owners of such machines aren't in it to lose, but of course to profit...It should be of concern that greed has no outside oversight!!

We are led to assume that the cruise lines are fair;)

  5. Without exception they said that unlike Vegas or Atlantic city, there is no mechanism to ensure that the pay-offs are fair...

Have you noticed a decline in big winners over the years?

They say they oversee their own machines....LOL Think about it...not meeting budget?? Just tighten the pay-outs.

No institution will objectively oversee themselves, esp with no overseeing agencies. They play in international water and have the sit. Vegas could only dream about.

    Think about it...

  7. I've cruised over 30 times and queried the pit bosses and Casino hosts.

  8. That stinks! I plan on taking my yeti with me...it's personalized with my name, so hopefully that'll be a deterrent to thieves. I will choke out anyone who tries to touch it.

Wow...Ya'll may want to chain it to your bodies or better yet give it back to big foot:D

  9. First it will be myself and my 2 daughters (18 & 20) cruising to the Bahamas. It's the first cruise for all of us. Should we purchase the Faster to the Fun pass?

and what are the must see/must do things in Freeport & Nassau?

Also, Is there a formal night on the ship? Do most people participate? and is there anything we should do on the ship?

Hoping for a great 4 days at sea!

The "go to" spot for us would be a trip to Port Lucaya marketplace...cheap taxi ride and decent marketplace and marina...

  10. Yes, as many others have reported LAX is a popular airport,

...but as a cruise band they are a poor selection on a Celebrity ship:(

After so many great band experiences, this is so disappointing!

Please I convinced my friends to sail on the Relection, and they love cruise bands. So, an off-key, limited song playing list, and a music style totally wrong for the prevailing age demographics, they are concerned reading reviews from multiple Cruise sites....

    Somebody, help!!!

    Al

  11. Hi,

New to Celebrity...and...I have the Classic as a perk...

Just wondering since I like Martinis and LI Ice teas, Am I OK with Classic or need to upgrade??

Also, My wife would not need to upgrade. Is that Ok if only 1 person upgrades?

OR....will we be ok with Classic, since we're good with non-top-shelf spirits?

    Thanks

  12. So, Valor had a change of plans Best Sellers will now be on our Oct cruise instead of a band I was looking forward to hear...

Not much out there about them...

    Any info would be helpful:)

Here's what I've heard...soft rock, dance and same songs every night...

Oh, Please give me a band with "music" as a prefix:eek::eek:

  13. If you're a cruzn' Manilla-lounge band lover, you'll understand that when it comes to the next booking...I gotta know ...Don't be judg'n:p "Hey, it's part of my cruise enjoyment!"

After tons of cruises and same ports of call... these guys, are arguably, the best for dancing and listening pleasure!

So Music Degree fans in-the-know, please Post up!!

I need to book soon! "Jonesing" for my next cruise-fix:eek:...

Yeah, right!!! it's been over a month since my last cruise, so I know ya'all

    know what I'm talking about!!!:D

  14. and go on carnival, they won't care how much booze you pack in your carryon...

Please, not true unless you're talking 10 years ago:p

Never had a problem with RR on royal, under the fabric of luggage...Yet, had some removed on a Carnival cruise though... So much for that theorem...

Don't make me lecture on the vast difference between rules and laws: one's a violation of contract... oh yeah..."RULES".

The other is a govermental requirement.

Not only that, SOOOO many "non-drink" rules are violated by every passenger, if you think your glass house is made of ballistic resistant plexi-glass, you're self deceived.

For those whose eyes burn red with self-righteous blood at the mention of booze contraband and rule breaking, lightenup, it doesn't raise drink prices because...wait for it....it can't be quantified and therefore reduced or increased.

Prices are raised at various times for various on-board purchases.

Each passenger is considered a "Profit Generating Unit" by those in the "nose bleed" section of cruise marketing, who as in politics, try to sneak new and increased fees without causing serious backlash.

As a shareholder (I'm holding one as we speak) that's the bottom line.

For me the chase is on as a game that I' seem to always win...

    Just kidding...or...am I???

Don't care about flaming, because it's a virtual flame thrower, so go ahead, if life demands this your enjoyment...

  15. Well, at least it's Bermuda!!!!

    But onboard........

Such a diminishing quality of nightly entertainment...

Evidently, they terminated the only 2 bands they've had, without replacing them.

The br-ass knows they can getaway with the quiet removing of expected free entertainment, and still sail with 100% capacity out of Baltimore.

RCCL"s only competition is CCL's Pride, who BTW, also are completely gutting their once great live on-board bands.

Please is there anyone who recently debarked, having good news??

Sorry for being such a Cruise Critic:rolleyes:

    Hi,

    Thanks:) !

  17. Some things to consider , yes, because I'm board:D

    How about this:

Inconsistancies and double standards abound on both sides, both with cruise lines and consumers...

Cruise lines practice selected enforcement which varies from port to port and ship to ship.

AND...Consider the tendency of personal human nature to be lenient

on self, while judgmental of others.

Common experience: How many of us get MAD at our OWN driving because we forgot to use our turn signal ?

But will react angrily to the one in front of us who made us slam on our brakes for same infraction, even though we were tailgating?:p

Other consideration: Rule of Law vs. a company's stated rules.

    These are not equivalent.

Or even in legal arguement, the spirit of the law vs. letter of the law:

55 mph posted speed limit and the accepted law enforcemet action only at 10 mph above said limit?

Anyway, we will continue to let ourselves "of the hook" while we claim moral judicial powers when judging from obsevation of others, which BTW....is still a free entertainment option when cruising!:D

    Enjoy!
