I am on your Carnival Cruise & will be going to Melia as well. Have you decided on Jintney or taxi? Maybe we can go together? I have kids as well, although much older--14 & 8.

Hi! I'm leaning more towards taxi. I think it might be easier with the little ones. Going together might work! Does anyone know if a taxi will hold all of us? There's 4 in our family--how many in yours?

Hi! We are doing this itinerary on the Pride in June. We have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I want to go to Melia in Nassau but am concerned about the taxi ride. How far is Melia from the cruise terminal? How was the taxi ride? I'm assuming you did not have car seats. Did you feel safe overall? Thanks--hopefully you can put my mind at ease about taking my young DDs on a taxi in a foreign country.

Also, did you have passports for your kids or just birth certificates? We were told by Carnival that only birth certificates were necessary but of course now I am questioning it. Any trouble getting back onboard with just birth cents?

Would the Jitney be ok to take with small children (4yo and 1yo)? We'd like to go to Melia.

Anyone have any advice on what's the better option for traveling in Nassau with small kids (4 yo, 1 yo)? Would the Jitney or taxi be better? I'm nervous about the safety of tourists especially since we will be traveling with our 2 young kids.
