We had R747 on the Ruby and thought it was great. No noise issue at all. The balcony is quite a bit larger and we liked having it angled. It is also nice being just a few steps away from the aft pool and bar. We prefer a mini, but if we were to book a balcony again this one would be our first choice.

We were in C749 on the Ruby last January and don't recall having any bothersome issue with vibration. In fact the only real issue was having to leave the "suite life" upon disembarkation! Have also been in E731 several times with no issues. Have a great cruise!

Lunch in the dining room on embarkation day is a great start to a cruise. It's open from 12 to 1:30 and the club class section should be available to make it even better!

Another vote for the urban wine trail!

Yes, I did with 2 cruises during last years 3 day. Keeping fingers crossed that I will be able to keep same cabin this year.

Best to call the agency and Princess as terms may have changed this year. I have 2 cruises booked from last years 3 day sail. $100pp deposit and they reserve the right to charge a $100 per stateroom cancellation fee. The free grats, and $50 obc (in a mini) were worth it to me to take the chance of cancelling. Two years ago I had the Sip n Sail with Princess and I think the deposit was the same as above, but no cancellation fee.

Same time last year I had 2 cruises with Princess booked. I was waiting for the sip n sail promo to come along in June to re book, when I saw a thread about this 3 day sale. Called the day it started. Told the agent who answered that I was interested in transferring my cruises to the agency under their sale. He took my information and said he would call me back when he had Princess on the line. 20 minutes later he called back with Princess on a 3 way call. Princess could not have been nicer and did the transfer during the call. Both Princess and the new TA emailed me confirmations immediately. I also looked on line at my Princess account to make sure the changes had been made. My cabin and fares remained the same and I gained along with the drink package, free gratuities, and since we were in a mini a specialty dinner and $50 OBC.

I would call Princess directly about this and/or your travel agent! There seem to be a spelling error or two in this message and phrasing. Be sure and check with Princess first!

That is what I do without a problem so far. Book a cruise and cabin I want. Then when there is the sale I want, I call Princess or the TA and they add the sale and so far I have kept the same cabin. You do have to pay the current fare, but fortunately for me, it has always been the same. I tend to book my cruises at least a year or more in advance.

No worries with club class. The service is more personalized then the banquet situation in mdr.. Only had it once when we took a suite up sell. It was wonderful.

You should be able to re-book this cruise (and keep the cabin you booked already) with the sip n sail that is usually offered mid June. Just keep monitoring this site and princess for when it starts. Even thou the sale runs most of the summer, there are only so many cabins that they offer for the promotion per sailing. Also, if you use a TA they may be able to add another perk on top of sip n sail.

Hi, go to google maps and put in the hotel, then click "whats near by" and put in whatever you are looking for. I see there is a nail salon 2 minutes away. Hope this helps. I use this feature all the time for restaurants and stores nearby my hotel pre cruise. Have a great time!

When we were upgraded to our first, and so far only suite experience, on the Ruby last November, what we enjoyed most was having the full dining room menu available on our balcony for formal nights (no dress up) and the club class dining in the dining room (service like it used to be years ago and we swear the food tasted better). Had no problem calling dine line to request our specialty dining for the first night. Called when we embarked. You will love it!

We were in R747 on the ruby in March and loved the size of the balcony and access to the aft pool area and bar within a couple steps of our room. No noise issues at all. I prefer to book mini suites, but if I needed to book a balcony again I would not hesitate to pick R747

It may be cheap, but I love stewart knocking on our stateroom door, just before sailaway, with two champagne glasses of the cheap stuff on a silvetone tray and making us feel special as if it is Cristal.

Thanks Pam for info. We are doing the 5 day Cabo for the first time in March. It does matter to us. We like to book a specialty restaurant on formal nights and the first thing we do when we arrive in our stateroom is to call and reserve. Like to have as much info ahead of time.:D

Really? I'm not trying to be cranky or anything, but what mini is that? The only things I could think of where this would be a true advantage would be if you wanted the owners suite, or a specific handicapped cabin.
Of course, I usually book a far forward mini and there are lots of those, so I guess I've never thought about this.
We like E731 on the Ruby/Emerald/Crown for the larger then average covered mini balcony, also its starboard, so not over bandstand in club fusion and the aft location.
-
Yep, our preferred mini is usually not available at the 25th hour. So, we book with our fcc when sailing is released then transfer it to the sip n sail when that promotion w/specialty dinner is offered.

We thought the food at Share was very good on our Ruby cruise and the service excellent. A nice break from the MDR where service has been lacking on our last couple of cruises. Looking forward to going to Share again on our upcoming cruises along with Crown Grill and Salty Dog, which we also enjoy!

When I made mine I clicked on Onboard Reservations then Culinary Delights where it was about the 9th item listed. Hope that helps.

some of the posts on here have confused me. I booked a cruise on the regal for my wife and i for January 2018 a month ago which had some promotions but no drink package. i paid 1078 each before tax. the sip and sail special has free drinks but is 1518. are you guys saying that if i call my travel agent they will give us the free drink package and keep the 1078 original price with its other promotions.
I don't think your January 2018 is eligible for this Sip and Sale. Summer 2018 - Spring 2019 only. I booked my January 2018 cruise under last years Sip and Sale promo.

In a word trikes! Did it in feb and loved it!

I have 1 4 day and 1 5 day previously booked. Checked out the getaway sale price on the same cruises to see if I should re book, and both are $2 higher with this sale then when I booked them 3 months ago. No sale for me. On the other hand I have done very well with 2 sip and sale cruises. Both were/are several hundred dollars more than when I booked them and that is without the sip and sale promo added!

My husband and I enjoyed Share on the Ruby and would definitely go back. Food, presentation and service were great. I don't remember any large platters of food or any bright lights on the Ruby. My husband did try the Curtis Stone seafood stew (not sure if that was name) in the MDR and did not care for it thou.
Elite and Platinum lounge 6j
in Princess Cruises

I enjoy the elite/platinum lounge. Have only done it in skywalkers (on 5 or 6 cruises) with its wonderful window views and have had the drink package. For my husband and I, it is a nicer venue than the buffet for snacks, relaxing and special. Although well attended, I would never say it was crowded, but well attended. We do go early. Enjoy vines also.
I have a question. My next cruise is with my 2 cousins. We are in the same stateroom. I am elite. They have never cruised. We all have the drink package. Does anyone with experience know if they can come with me?
