  1. Cabanas at Barefoot Beach are limited to suite guests (GS and better) and Pinnacle C&A members, and can only be reserved via the Concierge/Genie.

Cabanas at Nellie's Beach are reserved via your Cruise Planner on Royal's website. If you don't see them there, it might be too early.

Any idea when the Nellie’s beach ones open? Looking for january and not there yet

  2. Usually will use points to fly one way or the other in business/first. Have preferred to use the lay flat seats going over to Europe.. arrive rested and ready to go. Always find something to do/read/watch on the return. Would vote for the way across the pond!!

  3. Have done this a few times and although need to be aware with driving on the left, it is cost effective and lots of fun. We can get to various beaches and if one crowded do another. Have one rented for our Allure cruise end of the month. If do Hertz, they delivered the car to the cruise ship (although the airport is very close to port). Also, roads not well marked in many areas.

  4. Just booked a flight from Minneapolis to SYD late October for $500 - could not pass that up! Got a short 7 day RCL cruise to Tasmania booked. Then found this site with all of the Sydney suggestions for the pre and post cruise - wow!! I am getting very excited - already!! thanks for all of the great ideas.:D

  5. I'm not bothered by " kids who act like kids"... I'm bothered by parents who bring kids onboard and then act like they are CHILDLESS. Your responsibilities and problems dont become MINE when you go on vacation.if your children are as priceless as you say they are, pay as much attention to their whereabouts as you do your wallet...aren't they worth the effort?

I agree!! I am a pediatrician also and prefer to cruise when there are fewer kids but as I can't turn off my "pediatric me" am very agitated with kids alone in the pool and feel the responsibility the parents SHOULD feel. Ugh!!!

  6. Diamond C&A members staying in a suite can use the diamond or concierge lounge.

Technically, your sons would be allowed access to the concierge lounge only, as they are not diamond members.

It might be a good question for the diamond concierge once you are on board if you decide you prefer the diamond lounge. It may depend on the number of diamonds/diamond plus on board.

That was what I was thinking. We'll wait and see, I'll ask concierge if needed. They may not want to do what parents do anyway!;)

  7. We will be traveling in a family suite with our 2 adult sons. We are diamond and they are not. From what I see, we are thinking the diamond lounge on Adventure of the Seas and the outdoor space looks better for evening. Are suite guests allowed in the diamond lounge or do we go to the concierge lounge with them? Thanks for the help. Any thoughts in Adventure concierge lounge?
