  1. We had a difficult time finding a good rate to fly from Newark to Miami. I've never had a problem finding a decent fare until this year. We finally had to bite the bullet and pay $410 from Newark and returning to La Guardia. It's going to cost quite a bit to get home to NJ from there also.

Now I'm looking for flights to Tampa. Same problem. Also, it seems the airlines have a ton of very early morning flights but I can't find one after 11:00 until late in the day. And those later flights are $100 -$200 more expensive.

And yet I've been getting alerts for RT flights to Europe for less than $500. Just yesterday got $368 to Rome RT. It's crazy this year

  2. I also emailed Blexie and received the same email back as the original poster. The only difference is that he included the name of the guide.

I sent an email back with some questions as there are some changes we'd like to make to the itinerary. In that email I did say I was confirming that I wanted to do the tour. I have not heard back. Should I take it that we are booked?

  3. On our cruise on the Summit, my daughter and I had the travel agent request a table of 8. We were disappointed when we found out we had a table for two. When we boarded, we went to the maitre d' and requested a large table. They told us they would work on it but couldn't guarantee it and asked us to keep the table for two the first night. Sure enough, the next day we found new seating arrangements on our bed. It was a table for eight.

When we got to dinner on the second night, we met our tablemates and each one of the couples had been assigned to a table for two and had requested a change to a larger table. It ended up being the best dining experience of all my cruises. We had a great time each night at dinner.

Go to the maitre d' the first day and ask for the change. They will switch you if it is at all possible.

  4. We sail next week, our cruise is on Monday (8th August) and I'm not able to access my documents. I've had multiple conversations with Celebrity UK (I booked direct) about it and it seems there's been an IT glitch to do with my booking (suprise suprise) and they dont seem to be able to get my documents. I keep being told to be patient, it'll be a few days. Well now I'm sailing in a few days and I've had nothing. What is in the edocs? Can I board/check in without them? I've booked flights booked with them and also have no paperwork for that (other than the itinerary/receipts I got for the booking). I have been emailing back and forth with someone at Celebrity but now it seems she's fobbing me off to someone I spoke to a few weeks ago, but he's not contacted me back. I'm getting really anxious about this all.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I had an issue where I couldn't print my Xpress pass for last week's cruise. I went to the terminal with the edocs and they didn't even want to look at them. They only asked for the Xpress pass and when I explained that I didn't have it they only wanted to know if I had the reservation number. Once I gave that number everything proceeded promptly and without a problem. So I think based on my experience you should be able to board without the edocs, provided they can pull up your account at the terminal.

My edocs actually had only one page of specific information: names, reservation number, ship name, boarding date, stateroom number, dining time and boarding time. They did not include beverage plans, special requirements, onboard credit, excursions or any other info. The only item of importance in the edocs for boarding is the reservation number.

Hope you get it straightened out before you leave.

  5. My daughter and I will be in Bermuda during Cup Match which complicates things a bit as

we have no idea how difficult it will be to get around or how crowded the beaches and roads may be.

We are trying to cram as much as we can in on Wednesday before the holiday begins. For Thursday, I am having trouble deciding which beach is doable for snorkeling as it was one of my daughter's requests.

Here is what we have planned.

Wednesday: Private taxi tour (5 hours already booked) as soon as we can get off Summit.

When tour ends drop off at Crystal Caves.

After Caves get bus to Hamilton.

In Hamilton, have late lunch/ very early dinner.

Shop since this is the only day the stores are open.

    Stay for Harbor Nights.

    Return to ship.

Thursday 9:30 AM Helmet Diving (leaves from Dockyard)

1:00 PM Lunch and then my daughter wants to Snorkel.

She wanted to go to Tobacco Bay, but do we have time?

We can get over there on a 2:00 PM ferry but the last ferry is 5:30

and I am not sure if this will give us enough time at Tobacco Bay.

If not Tobacco, what other beach would

work for us? We do not want to go to Snorkel Park.

Friday I booked the Horseshoe beach shuttle through the ship even though it

was expensive because I felt it gave us some protection with Cup

    Match being in Somerset.

    Thanks!
