Does anyone have recommendations for hiring a driver for the day on St. John?

There are six of us wanting to go to Red Hook Ferry Port, so we seriously have to pay $180 Round trip? Are there ANY other options? 

Oh, sorry, I just read the rest of the prior post.  So we can get a private taxi for less maybe? Should we walk out of the port area?

We are taking a Red eye from Oregon - arriving at 6am the day of our cruise. I have read FLL is small and busy - hate to hang out there until we can check in on the ship. We will have luggage, could store it? Looked at a day room hotel, but not being able to get in until 10am doesn't help too much. Anyone have suggestions? We will be tired I'm sure...shower would be nice ;-)
