Found a deal Tampa to Barcelona 13 days same time. No covid test or visa required. Booked! Enjoy your trip!

Cruise cancelled. Decided not to go through all the hassle. Did it all in September. Then had to cancel. Decided to look for something less stress free to plan.

We're booked. Have to start checking out flights to Brisbane from Chicago ohare. And from Seattle back to ohare. Lots of work ahead. Will start on Australian ETA tomorrow. Yaay! Had to cancel trip to Sydney last September. Really hope this all falls into place!

Another quick question- What are the covid requirements for the islands where we stop? Should I check with Carnival? I know we need an Australian ETA. Have done that before.

My daughter and I are interested on booking this cruise before the Casino offer expires tomorrow. I have a question about covid testing. The Australian protocols state that you have to have a negative PCR test within 48 hrs. of boarding. Here's the question- with the time changes if we have the test done on the 11th in the US before flying out does this meet the criteria? Since that would be the 12th. in Australia is that within 48 hrs? I'm old and confused!!

When Katy & I hit Ensenada on our way home, we went out with a bang! Did the blowhole tour, drank margaritas, shopped for final treasures, & barely got our bags packed on time!
Thanks for helping me live through it all again.

I'm assuming that Hilo is your next stop. Don't miss Volcanoes National Park! Once again, Thanks for all the memories!

Thanks for the very vivid & descriptive tour pictures of Pearl Harbor. It brings back many memories of our trips there. The first time you experience it is memorable. But, believe it or not, no matter how many times I've been there , it is still a moving experience. I urge others to add the visit to the Missouri. It's another memory well worth the time.

Our Carnival cruise to Cuba is not until Aug. of 2020. I am going to wait this whole mess out until Carnival officially cancels it. Maybe everything will be resolved before it comes to that. I choose to be an optimist!

Around 11:50 am our cruise director, Lee Mason, made the announcement that all Diamond member cabins were now ready. We weren’t expecting that. Great job! So off we went to our cabin which was all the way aft on Deck 6, port side. We share a hallway with the cabin next door. We are in cabin # 6448 which is a bowling alley balcony cabin. Cabin 6450 is an aft wrap cabin which we were in on our very first Splendor cruise back in 2013…..
Our Sail & Sign cards were waiting in our mailbox when we arrived. To surprise Patti I had our cabin decorated in honor of our Anniversary. To surprise me, Patti had brought along cabin decorations, which she later hung up. We left the decorations up for the entire cruise…..
Our desk area and closets…..
This was also part of the Anniversary decorations package……
Our bathroom was next to the right side of the bed. It is a typical Carnival bathroom…..
This is our bowling alley balcony…..
To be continued…..
Thanks for the great Splendor pictures. We've cruised her five times in the past & am going to Singapore in Oct. Our room is also a bowling alley balcony. In fact it's the same one we cruised around South America in for 49 days. love cabin #6475.

Shame on my colleagues who would "go on strike" in the mistaken and error filled decision to convert a profession into a job. It's another sad commentary of the worldwide demise of professions (For The Public Good) in many fields of endeavor (law, education, medicine, clergy, etc)
Everybody strikes in Italy. It's a national pastime!:D:D

I come here looking for news on the Concorida because the media seem to have gotten bored with the story. Yet all I find is a bunch of posts consisting of people mocking the Captain of the Concordia. I think we've all established that he's not going to be winning any popularity contests any time soon, so why can't people just use this topic for what it's intended for? NEWS!
When there's no new news, the kids just want to play! Lighten up!:D

Sid & Uni,
I find your male battle of one-ups-manship(sp) to be quite amusing.:D
Does anyone out there have any real Concordia news to share?

I think the last three posts create a "resonable suspicion" that Sidari has an alter ego and pseudonym which is used to differentiate between ranting and writting.
I've been coming to that same suspicious deduction myself.

I also watched the special on Discovery. Having kept up on these threads (especially the SINKING one) about the disaster, I found that the technical aspects were easier to understand. Without being kept informed here, I would not have gotten as much from that show. Thanks to all of you who have been on top of things from the beginning. Looks like the captain is trying to take credit for what Mother Nature did to push the ship closer to land.

All we were charged was the $100 pp.non-refundable down payment. With the deal we got for Barcelona including air and balcony room,
, we came out ahead. Of course we just booked Brisbaine yesterday and cancelled within 24 hours. I don't know if that was the reason.
