Leaving on Disney Dream on Sunday going to Nassau and Castaway Cay. Getting nervous...
Anyone with experience with tropical storms? Will they sail through tropical storms? Stay docked at Port Canaveral and just enjoy the ship amenities? It's such a short cruise that I didn't think the could just reroute it...

Most people have stayed on board. After talking with a youth program crew member, I found out only about 10% got off. (Don't hold me to that... It's just a guess.)
We plan on paying our tips... The service is amazing, just like we have come to expect with Princess.
Captain just made an announcement that officials are checking the situation and may have more info for us in the next couple of hours. Passengers and crew are asked to stay on board so that we could ready the ship to sail in the event that the news is good.
It's sunny and I just took a short nap on the balcony. (Amazing what a little sun will do for your mood!!)

I'm on board. They have suspended ship leave for pax. Only allowing people who have decided to end their trip to head off while we are still docked in Houston. Seems we may get out tonight and should get one day in Cozumel. Hoping for some good sea days with sun. It's been too cold to enjoy the pools.

Cap'n gave an update at approx. 2:50 pm. Doesn't look like they will let us out to sail today. He's got a conference call with Princess and he'll update us when he knows more.
He reminded us there are ships on the other side waiting to get in that are missing disembarkment and new passengers unable to board. At least we are comfortable and not having any real trouble. Glass is always half full, right?
Speaking of that... I could use one right about now.

Captain told us a little bit ago that we are still going to be here a while longer while the spill is cleaned up and the partially submerged barge is moved out of the way.

No update from the captain yet. My aunt says she saw it on the news in Indiana. I don't feel like we're going anywhere soon... Oh well. We've got yummy food and good entertainment.

The stupid little chime they sound (on Princess) when making an annoucement. Every once in awhile, we hear it on land and it give me goosebumps - as well as the urge to look for a railing.
