  1. We are doing the Whale Watching, Mendenhall Glacier, and dinner at Tracy’s with Junea Tours.  Trying to decide whether or not to rent a minivan and do the drive to Yukon independently or tack on the Yukon Tour with Juneau’s.  It a tad bit cheaper to go independent, but wasn’t sure if it is worth the hassle of getting a car and driving ourselves.  Anyone do this??

  2. We prefer to have the freedom to go where we want after the cruise. We stay in FLL so there are no parking fees. We like to visit South Beach and Hollywood Beach and eat at Aruba's!

I get that shuttle where I drop my car at MIA. They drop you right at the door on the pier. You do have to have a reservation, but all people in the party are shuttled for free. It's easy, inexpensive, and offers you to go where you want for the day without relying on taxis!

  3. I have always gotten a car rental at FLL the day before the cruise. I drop it at MIA and get free shuttle to port. After the cruise, the same shuttle picks me up and takes me to MIA to get another car. I then return that to FLL that evening or the next morning if we are staying another night. I pay less than $40 tax and fees included. For 3 or more people, it's cheaper than SAS shuttle.

  4. I read that in the Fantasia category you don't have to pay the fee for delivery but you still have to pay for the food. I've sailed with various cruise lines and have never paid for food delivered. We just tipped the person who delivered it.

  5. We normally rent a car to go from FLL to MIA. We drop off at MIA and then get the free shuttle to the port. We've never paid more than $60 total. This year, a van is around $150 for the day! I'm going to wait to see if rates drop...if not, we may take the SAS shuttle as well. We've had them in the past and they are very good. Groups of 5+ are $13/person.
