Has anyone done the free or half airfare with cruise lines? If so what was your experience with flights ideally out of Toronto?  Both the flights I’m considering have many direct flights each day but am I more likely to get a one stop if it’s the cheapest option for NCL?  Or do they put you on really early (6am) flights or returning at say 8pm when cruise arrived at 7am?  We are thinking of using NCL for Toronto to New York in April and then also for another cruise in September from Toronto to Reykjavík and return home from London because the prices were super cheap ($1100 for both of us flying to Iceland and home from London).  I do prefer to book my own flights but the savings especially for the overseas cruise was just too good to pass up so wondering if people have any experiences on cruise line booking you’re out of Toronto?  Thanks

We are 2 couples leaving from Pearson to Panama City for a Panama Canal cruise next week. We both opted for a 2 day deviation. We leave at 7:30 am and transfer through Orlando and arrive in Panama at 4:30; flights are with WestJet and COPA (Panama airline). A direct flight would have been nicer but, we are paying $500 for the 2 of us. The other couple are flying the evening before and go overnight on a Columbian airline to Columbia the transfer to Panama.

  2. We would like to spend a couple of hours in one of these parks the day before our cruise. We are wondering whether it’s worth going further out to Soberania. Can we do an easy hike, about 90 mins and are we likely to see wildlife and birds? If we start at 10am, is this too late for the wildlife to be active? Thanks!

  3. We will be in Tortola on our upcoming cruise ans planning to take a taxi to Brewer's Bay. We will bring our own snorkeling gear so we don't need to worry about renting but wondering about lockers & washroom facilities. Is there a place to change? Ate there lockers for storing our camera etc?

  4. Thanks for the input. I have been reading a bit more and have a few more questions to plan how to most enjoy our day.

    1. How crowded it is at the Baths; do you really need to stand in line walking through the caves? (the day we are in port it is just the Escape). Are there really panic rushes for the taxi to get to the ferry for the return?

    2. How bumpy is the ferry? I read about lots of people being seasick and dh is a bit worried about a very bumpy ride for back reasons.

    3. Do you need to crawl though the caves or is it just occasional twisting/crouching?

    Thanks!

  5. Hi there, Are there places to rent snorkeling gear if we take Speedy's ferry to the Baths or should we bring our own gear? Also is it easy to find good snorkeling on our own or is it better to look for a tour? We will be on the NCl Escape so 7-3 port visit. Thanks for the advice!
