I googled walking map of Nassau and got a number of images.  I did a screen shot and enlarged it.  Is this what you are looking for?

Thank you!  I went through all my paperwork from past cruises because I had the map at one time and as soon as I told my husband I posted this question, he showed me the map you posted.  I should have known, I could find that info now by googling.  Thank you!

  2. Does anyone have or can anyone direct me to a walking map of Nassau Bahamas, that includes the Queen's Saircase/Fort, Chocolate factory, Rum Distillery, Pirate place, brewery, beach?

All of the car rentals in PC/Cocoa Beach will provide you with a shuttle to the pier - you might want to drop off all of the passengers and bags and then just the driver can return the car and ride the shuttle to the port.

Pre-Virus we always used Avis and were happy with the service.  Have not (YET!) cruised out of PC since things opened up.

    Thank you!

  4. Has anyone rented a car recently to get to/from airport to pier?  We fly into Sanford airport (North of Orlando) the night before and we’re thinking of renting a car for my group of five to drive to the Pier at Cape Canaveral.  And again will want to rent a car when we get off Harmony, to drive up to Sanford for our flight.  Just not sure which auto rental places would be good to get car from as the reviews on line are confusing and make them all seem…not ideal.  Wondering if anyone has recent experience with car rental places, in this area.  Thank you.

  5. Was in Nassau earlier this month. The walking tour above is good, however, not a lot of intersections have street signs (so it's hard to know where you are -- so be warned!) Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle are worth going to. We went to one other place not on the map: John Watling's Distillery. The entrance is on Delancy St, between West and Augusta Streets - they served a great Piña Colada.
We are cruising very soon and these are three of the places that we wanted to check out. Thanks for tips on the Street names (or lack thereof).
  6. How far is this of a walk to Tiki Bikini from the pier? I do have a small mobility issue, just want to make sure it would be doable for me. If it's not within walking distance, does one of the local buses take you their and back? Thank you

    Do they have snorkeling?

We were there Nov 2015 and took a taxi because our daughter broke her toe the night before we left for the cruise. I can't remember the price, but it wasn't a lot. If she could have walked, I think it would have taken us a 20-30 min to walk it. Don't remember if I saw any snorkeling when we were there.

Byron and his wife were very nice. He gave us 4 free drinks because we said we read about him on Trip Advisor. Granted, the weren't the best of drinks, but we got lots with the pkg we bought, so I kept dumping them until I found one I liked....which was of course the last one I tried.

We sat to the right if you are looking at the water. It was much quieter than the left side that had fun and games going on. One thing that happened that day and we couldn't believe it. Byron was asking the kids to build sand castles for a $100. bill grand prize. I couldn't believe it. We thought the kids would have done it and been excited to win $10. Couldn't believe he gave away $100 for that.

    We would go back again.

  7. We will be docking in Falmouth in January. What is the best beach for 6 adults to enjoy the view, the water and a few cocktails but where we won't be pestered by vendors.

We too are trying to find a good beach to go to while in Falmouth in January. Maybe as time goes by, more ppl that have been to this area will comment. Typically, we go on our own, but have never been to Jamaica and from what I'm reading, I think we'll will stick w/a ship sponsored beach. I'm curious about Bamboo Beach, Blue Waters, Red Stripe or should we splurge on Rose Hall....

  8. Thanks, sorry for the confusion.

This thread was originally located on the main Royal Caribbean forum but yesterday it had been moved to the Countdown to Quantum class sub forum which is used very little. I couldn't find it at first when searching the main forum.

WOW, Cruise critic really screwed up moving your blog. They should keep it where it is easy to find for everyone who is cruising on Anthem to read, as it contains so much useful information. They missed the boat on this one ;)

  9. Thanks, I'm not sure why there is a sub forum as it's no longer countdown to Quantum class, but I am relatively new to the site and not a mod so I am sure there must be a reason for this.

There certainly was some interest though, I am amazed it has gone over 50k so thanks again to everybody for your interest.

What does "sub forum" mean? You had attached your link on our 11/22 roll call, but when I clicked on it, it gave me an error message. Is that because of being moved to sub forum (what ever that is?). I had posted your link a day or two before on our roll call for ppl to check out your blog because it was so informative. When I clicked on that, I was able to link over no problem to see the updates. (last time I was on, you were just getting ready to leave NYC).

I think RCCL should give you a free or reduced future cruise for the awesome reviews/information you provided!!!!! Well done!

  10. I can't believe you are going to get to visit the Statue in Nipivember and have the weather you are going to have tomorrow! You lucked out!

CruisenovicesUK ~ Thank you again for the wonderful Blog. I've never read one before, but found myself wanting to sign on my computer as often as I could to see what new info you and your OH had for us. I also loved the videos and pics of you two you posted, so we could put a face to the names. I truly felt like I was on this cruise with you guys!

Enjoy NYC, It's great weather outside, so it will make walking around pleasant to see all your sights.

    Have safe travels back home.

  11. Thanks, the escape room is a puzzle activity. It is free of charge but must be booked once onboard either through the IQ app at Seaplex, guest services etc.

The aim is a number of people are 'locked' in a room and the timer is set giving you one hour to try and escape. The only way to do this is by solving various clues and puzzles inside the room. To be successful you need to work as a team so it's key to communicate well during the task.

In regards to your second question there are 4 bars on the top deck, 2 of which are covered.

The first covered bar is the Sunshine Bar on the Solarium at the front of the ship. The next bar is the pool bar which is next to the pool which has a retractable roof, which I imagine will be closed when leaving New York.

There are also 2 outside bars next to the pool which is the sky bar and North Star bar, so there are plenty of places either inside or outside you could watch sail away.

You can also get a beer from the dog house in Seaplex at the rear of the ship of you wanted to be at that end

WOW! You are fast! Thank you for answering my questions. Our kids are going with us (both legal drinking age), so we will settle at one of those places and the escape the room sounds like mad fun! I also wanted to thank you for all the other wonderful info you have provided. I have spent the last 2 hrs. reading every single post. It seems like you really enjoy doing this and you have a knack for it! It seems like you've been running all over that ship answering everyone's questions, so I'm glad to read that providing these updates has not prevented you from enjoying your holiday! Wishing you and your "OH" have calmer waters and can get some pool time!! Thanks again.

  12. Thank you for telling us about this. I can not wait to experience it!

CruisenovicesUK ~ Thank you so much for this daily blog. My family goes on Anthem 11/22 and I am enjoying your daily updates. I have a couple questions. 1) What is "Escape The Room experience"? and is there a bar someplace inside that is up-top where you can have a drink and watch the sailaway? When we have gone on other ships out of Bayone, we did the Sailaway at the Viking Lounge. I think it was on deck 14 and all windows. We had a birds eye view of going under the Bridge out to the open water. It looks like your not going to clear the bridge because there is so little clearance(but of course you know we are). We think it's super cool way to kick-off our cruise and wanted to do it again. Anthem doesn't look like it has a place like this to go have a drink and watch the boat clear the bridge.

If you stroll past a place that you think we could do this in, let me know. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your cruise!
