Starting Monday I will be doing HCG! And will have 3 months to hopefully lose 40lbs!
Anyone else?
Looking for a HCG buddy to rely on!

How about the compasses for a recent 9 night to Bermuda, St. Maarten, San Juan and Labadee? Thanks so much!
Matt
I'm on a search for this as well!

There is a thread going somewhere about the anthem obstructed balconies...
I've been doing some extra research on this as well, i just booked one after all my research, lol..
here is a photo I found:
and here is the thread:
-
I know this is a pretty old thread but it has helped me out!!
Maybe this picture I found on google will help any other people trying to find out the best spot for a Obstructed Balcony...
I booked 6600... seeing as it will hopefully be the same as previously mentioned 6200, (just opposite ship sides) it seems both sides have lifeboats in the same exact spots. *fingers crossed*

On our sailing on Oasis, or maybe Allure (cant remember which it was) they had free popcorn.. Sad that they don't offer that on Anthem.

Hey Robtulipe....we are sailing on the Anthem in 2017 and I am nervous that our staterooms will not open up on the balconies. Cannot find much about the rooms we booked - 10562-10572. Any advice since you stayed in that room and section? We have some what looks like bigger balconies, do you have any other pics? Lastly, do you know if the balcony to room 10560 (on the other side of you) opened up? We may need to book that room as well. Thank you for any advice you have on the cabins!!
I realize this is over a year old... but how was cabin 10572? We are booked for Anthem in May 2018!

Hello..
Clean1owner, totally off subject, I was doing a search for Freedom of the seas cabins, came across a post from you of a hump balcony cabin that you stayed in, I currently have that same cabin booked. but the pictures you posted of the view will not show, is there any possible way to post them again?? Would love to see the view! :D

This is always a question with many answers according to the persons own style, opinion, their own want or comfort level... some stick to the dress code according to what RC has suggested and some would rather wear whatever they want. On Formal nights I personally LOVE getting dressed up in a cocktail dress, my husband doesn't wear a tux, though I wouldn't mine, but he brings his black suits with nice ties. We never feel out of place.

There's been a few sailings since I last posted this... gonna check again...
Anyone have one yet?!:D
-
Fantastic photos!!! Looking forward to more!
-
Thanks for the link!
What's the chances its still very similar to what we will see in May? How often does a compass change?
-
Hello, just wondering if anyone has a recent Anthem of the seas, 9 night (Bermuda, Caribbean), cruise compass?!
-
Thanks for the link.
No problem! :)
-
I cant speak to the bed position for 7288, but I do believe you will be overlooking the lifeboats that are on deck 6. I located a video of room 7210 that shows a deck 7 room and the balcony view.
I might prefer a room further aft (or forward) - away from the lifeboat cutouts
Thanks for the response... I did some research as well... And yup.. above a lifeboat... booo, but after did find the perfect cabin. Thank you Royal Caribbean UK and floor layouts! :D Now to call the TA tomorrow!

Would love an accountability partner! We set sail in May and am hoping to lose 10 lbs a month! Hard I know, but would love a partner to help, and motivate each other!:o
-
Just booked our Anthem of the seas cruise for May!:D
We are deck 7, in 7288, does anyone know anything about this cabin?
Bed position? Is there a lifeboat directly below? Any info would be great!
A few years back i remember there was a spreadsheet with cabin info on the Oasis or the Allure with all that info on it, I wonder if anything like that has been created for Anthem??
-
i was given a link to a recent compass, i too find myself dancing the late night away, looking at the compass seemed similar to the last few cruises Ive been on! heres the link:
hope that helps
-
I'm in 7288, hopefully no boats in my view!!! Anyone have any idea?!
-
It would be ammmaaazzzing if they did this on Anthem!
-
Well done! 4lb is brilliant!

We are thoroughly enjoying our Anthem cruise. The ship is immaculately maintained. The crew are extremely friendly always with a smile and a greeting as you pass them on your way. We enjoyed a successful Cruise Critic Slot Pull with all groups doubling their $20 starting fee. Beyond that Lady Luck has not so much as winked at me. She did smile some fortune on my wife who won $90 on the Wheel of Fortune machine.
We opted for Dynamic Classic on this cruise. We were supposed to have been at a table for 8 as we love meeting new frie
nds at dinner. However, at our first dinner at the Grand we were seated at a table for two and just decided to keep it.
Dinner Service
Dynamic Classic has been excellent. The list in our cabin details the rotation for the voyage. Each night we arrive at the specific line for Classic and are ushered immediately to our table. Curiously there is never a line for this class of service but, always a line for Dynamic Choice.
Our waiter Amine is excellent, one of the best waiters we’ve ever had. He is very attentive, considerate and serves each meal in a timely fashion.
Quality of Meals
I had read numerous trip reports reating the less than appetizing meals on board, I couldn't disagree more. The food throughout the ship been excellent. Last night we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at American Icon Grill which featured the most savory and delicious steak tartar I can ever recall. The Chicken Waldorf Salad was also a winner with it’s creamy dressing and crunchy fresh apples and walnuts. The shrimp scampi over a bed of garlic spaghetti was hugely enjoyable, light and flavor highlighted by those tender, tasty shrimps. Only the apple pie was less than memorable with its mushy consistency and pasty pie crust. All in all a terrific meal.
Trivia
My wife adores trivia and we play at least three or more matches a day. We proudly aced the Crown & Anchor match notching 17/20 correct answers about our favorite cruise Royal Caribbean. Special thanks to our ringer Daniel who helped us to our coveted Keychain prize with his Diamond Plus knowledge of the line.
The Name that Celebrity challenge was very harsh including many famous folk as mere tots.
Somehow we mustered a tie and added to our collection of highlighters pens.
Spa Junior Suite
If you have one booked you have chosen wisely. We love this cabin. There is plenty of space afforded to move about without bumping into anything. The lighting throughout the cabin is soothing and as bright as you like with dimmer switch function. The dual bathroom feature works nicely. It’s a bit odd sometimes running from one chamber to the next like some droll character from a Feydeau Farce, but, it works. Both the walls awash in elegant white marble and the soft and soothing tiles help to cast a tone of relaxation and comfort.
The Loccitane products are refreshing and invigorating. While the Junior Suite perks don’t compare those of Grand and above, it is nice that Royal has bestowed some privilege to this cabin grade. Notable among them are pre-embarkation seating are at Cape Liberty, dinner at Coastal Kitchen, double loyalty points and choice seating for production shows. At the Spectra’s Cabaret performance on Sunday our Spa Suite Sea Class card earned us the opportunity to sit in the center mezzanine section of the 270 Lounge. It’s really great that Royal rewards this cabin class as some other lines are less than cordial.
Bermuda
We arrived in Bermuda on glassy calm seas under a convoy of taffy-twisted clouds bathed golden from a tropical hot sun. We purchased a pair of round-trip ferry tokens for $18 total and made our way to the dock. The noon ferry deposited us at Front Street in Hamilton. Elene bought me a lovely green Bermuda Polo shirt at the English Sports Shop. 8 years earlier we had frantically descended on this shop in search of a blue blazer after I had left mine in the car prior to our ship board wedding on the Holland America Line’s Noordam.
There on the rack hung the same style blazer I had purchased years ago for our 17-day transatlantic to Rome. Next we stopped in at Flannigan’s Irish Pub for a cold drink. I can highly recommend Box’s Picnic Punch, it goes down very smooth and will make you feel alright. Apparently everyone in Bermuda has a nickname but, the derivative to Anthony’s Box name is a shaggy dog for another day.
The scorching Bermuda sun chased us back to our ship for a much needed siesta. Later in the afternoon we met our tour guide friend Heidi and her dog Buddy for drinks at the Frog and Onion. The Muddy Frog, with Bailey’s , ice cream, chocolate syrup and rum was a frosty treat with a kick. We took Heidi’s fabulous tour last August on our Liberty of the Seas cruise. http://www.bermudafootsteps.com – Heidi knows everything about this island’s rich and interesting history and she will take all over Bermuda in her comfortable, brand new bus. The tour also includes a massive famous fish sandwich on raisin bread.
I wish there was a way to hear the ship board announcements in the cabin. There should be a volume knobto turn up if you are so inclined to learn the latest from the captain during the voyage.
Today Tuesday it is overcast and humid. We have taken a rain-check on our beach trip to write and to play trivia. A great clap of Thunder just echoed over the bay, some angry dark clouds are hovering nearby.
The heavens have opened and a sent a hail of rain. Good call cancelling that beach day.
I lovespending time on our spacious balcony listening to the gentle put-put of passing yachts, basking in the refreshing sea breeze and enjoying every minute on board the Mighty Anthem of the Seas.

Probation Party on Oasis????
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
We did this while on Allure! It was the best night of the cruise! Had lots of fun, lots of Gin! I'd say for our group 80% of everyone was dressed up! After the party everyone stayed together and kept the night going moving the party to other locations. Ended up becoming friends with some of the people and hanging almost every night after.
(tried attaching pictures... its not allowing me to)
I would say its definitely worth it!
