Fb0075 - thanks for the invite. We’re traveling with family and will stick with them until our flight.  This is our first Regent cruise and we’re loving it.  Did a Viking cruise in September and this is definitely a step above.  Hope you too are enjoying, safe travels.

Will there be any problem getting a taxi from the port when we get off the Splendor in San Juan to the airport or should we pay $69 each for Regent transportation to the airport?

We are not using Regent Air but are using the pre-cruise hotel in Miami.  We'll make our own way to the Biltmore.  Do we go to the front desk for a regular check-in or will there be a Regent representative there for check-in?  The next morning we have an 11:30 boarding time.  We are provided transportation from the hotel to the ship.  Will Regent have a bus that early or are we better off getting our own taxi/Uber?

Just got off the British Isle Explorer and they had no mini bottles of bourbon or rye in our mini bar.  The only scotch they had was Famous Grouse.

When do you find out what hotel Regent is providing?  We're on the Feb 9 Caribbean cruise and Regent still shows my hotel in Miami as TBD.  I spoke to Regent a week ago and they said they're still working on it.  Is that normal?

Our Regent cruise starts in Miami and ends in San Juan, the ship is due in at 7am.  I did not use Regent for air but have booked our own flights.  Our flight leaves San Juan at 1:45.  What is the procedure for leaving the ship in San Juan?  Is there a passport check?  Will we have a problem getting a 1:45 flight?

We have Viking Air and will be using the Viking airport transfer at the end of our BIE cruise in Bergen.  I 've read that your luggage has to be placed outside your cabin the night before debarkation.  Do we collect our bags at the Bergen airport before checking in?  I'd like to be able to put the items we need for our final night and morning into our bags before flying out, some items that can not go into the cabin.

I paid for my excursions with ACH (bank draft).  If a port is cancelled will I get an OBC or a refund to my bank?  If it's an OBC, can I use that  for gratuities?

If a port is cancelled due to weather conditions, how does Viking reimburse you for the cancelled excursion?  Do you get any other type of compensation for a missed port?

My wife insists on traveling with her own hair dryer.  Viking says that heat producing devices are prohibited but does that really include hair dryers?  Curling irons?  Will they be confiscated?  How about an electric toothbrush?  Is there a place in the bathroom to plug it in?

We will be on the British Isle Explorer cruise next month.  I'd like to leave most of what is in my wallet at home.  Other than my Mastercard and debit card, do I need to bring my drivers license or Blue Cross/Medicare cards?  American Express?  Any other items I should be carrying?  When you visit a port, do you have to bring your passport with you?

I have a PV1 cabin reserved on the British Isles Explorer cruise on August 23.  Excursion reservations open 77 days before departure.  What are the chances that I will be able to reserve the excursions of my choice or will some already we sold out?

What happens if I book an independent excursion and the port is cancelled?  Will I lose my deposit?

I booked a PV1 for my first Viking cruise on the Jupiter British Isles Explorer in Aug of 2023.  This seems to be one of the last categories still available.  Is there something bad about PVI?  Location, noise etc...  PV2 and PV3 seem to have gone quickly.

I will be on the British Isles Explorer leaving from London on Aug 23 and returning from Bergen Norway on Sept 6.  How far in advance will Viking book my flights?  We're flying from Boston which has many airlines flying to London.  Any suggestions for which airline we should use?  Any other suggestions?
