Just got off the Rotterdam on 4/1... Grinding on deck had finished. Concur with everything previously stated. We did miss Costa Maya due to winds, but besides that it was a wonderful cruise!

Our members are encouraged to ask questions on these boards to get information about their upcoming cruise from experienced cruisers. It serves no purpose or benefit to be told to use the search function. That opportunity is obviously available to all and thus is non-responsive at best and quite rude and useless at worse.

 

Posts as responses to questions or guidance requests that suggest the member use the search function are usually considered off topic and are subject to removal. When those posts also include negative commentary about the question and/or the member posting the question, the responder can expect his/her post to be removed, followed by a guideline reminder.

I keep seeing this day in and day out... Why can't people answer a question when asked? With this day and age with Google and Social Media people are wanting answers as quick as possible, because most times they are only a click away! We know that questions are being repeated all the time! If they would simply answer the question as in our "mission of Cruise Critic is stated in our guidelines" "If you post questions, please try to take the time to answer other members' questions as well...." People aren't answering the question but telling others to search and look for a previous answer on a previous thread when you know they know the answer! Sorry for the long rant, but l keep coming back to CC for new info on HAL and what has changed, and when I see the same members who have been here a long time and have helped countless new members and they seem to be inpatient with the "newer" crowd. Bottom Line: If you know the answer please answer it, if not leave it be until someone does answer. If a thread is repeated then it is repeated... JMO Soap Box Over Host Walt please delete if not okayed!

We are booked on the Rotterdam and are going to be spending the week in 6104 with DW and DD. The cabin "looks" significantly larger than some of the other cabins. Can anyone attest to this? Also is the view obscured? thanks all in advance!!! :D

Its been awhile since I've been active, BUT has HAL had the Signature Drink Promo lately? I had it 2 years ago and was wonderful, although never maxed it out once! Also Thanks in advance! HAL Cruise Critic members are literally the best on the Ole Interweb!!!

I'm not a big slot machine gambler, but I have heard that HAL's slot machines aren't very loose... Can anyone attest one way or another?? Thanks and Go HAL!!

My DW truly enjoys getting all dressed up so I will topple mountains to make her vacation special. So when you see us dressed to the nines and you are dresses in sub semi-formal attire in the MDR you are ruining our ambience and I will be that a$$ that will come over and comment that you can't follow simple instructions and are less than the stuff I scrape off my shoes. I understand you don't want to dress up and that's fine just eat some place else.... They're many other choices to choose from... Of course this is just my opinion... Happy Cruising and Go HAL!!!

Not True... While you are in Airplane Mode you can turn on your Wifi anywhere anytime and not "roam"...

Excited to be back on Holland America Eurodamn, starting off in the Caribbean before heading over to the Mediterranian for the final month of cruising.
