We are sailing Jewel of the Seas in December- wondering what the latest disembarkation times are? If we go straight to the airport say at 11 am, will be able to check in for a 3:40 flight? I remember about 18 yrs ago they would not let you and everyone was pilled in the "lobby" area. We are a group of about 18 with several senior's who can't do a lot of walking. Can we have lunch and hang out at the airport? thanks

RCL treats a JS just like a regular cabin, except for the double points. A hump cabin is a balcony cabin on one of the "humps" you see on the side of the RCL ships as you look down the side of the ship. Hump cabins are prized for thier extra balcony space. The JS doe have a larger balcony anyway due to the extra 2 or 3 feet width of the cabin.

 

We love the JS because of the extra space not only in the cabin (like I said about 2 or 3 ft. wider) but the larger balcony AND the larger closet. Sure we don't get the other suite perks but if you consistently get the JS, you will get to the higher C&A levels that do get you into some of the more coveted suite perks, i.e. Concierge Lounge or the Diamond Club. We are Platinum with only three more credits until Diamond. Looks like we need to cruise some more!

Thanks Hobiecat 01... the double points are good. We will be diamond after this trip, thanks to the double points. Thanks for the info on hump cabins. We are in 7644 so that probably isn't one. I will make a note of this in the futrue. But still the extra space is worth it. And the closet. Can't wait to go.

Does anyone know if FLL has changed the times for allowing people to check in prior to their flights? As I understood it was only 3 hours before the flight time. And with the addition of the Oasis that will mean morte people, including us. We have a 4pm flight, and are trying to see if we should book a day room at one of the airport hotels until 1 or sit at the airport. We are not the type of people who welcome sitting in the lobby area/ floor with all of our bags waiting to check in. Any input would be appreciated. thanks

I agree that RCI should rename the JS cabins to something else without the name "suite" attached.

I agree and suggested that to the representative on the phone. She wasn't very responsive.

Can anyone confirm (or deny!) if JS occupants get priority boarding for Oasis?

 

I didn't think so, but I wanted first hand knowledge to be 100% sure.

I spoke with the Crown and Anchor representative: who said yes the JS get priority boarding along with the other suite guests.

Are there any perks with the JS? Besides double cruise points? Are we able to board with the suites? What is a hump cabin? I am booked for March in room 7644 does anyone know if this room will have a larger balcony?
