  1. Thank you for doing this review, a TA is something we've never done but we do love sea days so we're def interested in booking one. I like the idea of gaining hours rather than losing them so a WB is what we'd look at. I'm reading that Port side balcony would give us more sun and sunsets, is that correct? Also, how did you find booking one way flights...is that much more expensive? We'd have to book one way to Rome and then a return one way from Ft. Lauderdale (or wherever we disembark). When do the fall TA's get released, if we were wanting to check out the similar one to this one for Fall 2019? Are there any sales on the beverage packages onboard since there aren't

any perks included? Sorry for all the questions and thank you again for posting and including pics!

    Cathy

One way fares are inexpensive. Not to worry,

  2. I just requested the credit on a TA booked under an Exciting Deals offer. I was told I was not eligible for the shareholder credit. Are you saying you got it under the same circumstances? Thanks.

I got it for my upcoming Trans Atlantic. But I have booked Exciting deal cruises and got it with them as well.

Bought the 100 shares back when they were cheap-cheap and have got more than what they cost me in OBC times two! :D

  3. I'm sure are not paying over 40K to go on a cruise and stay in a cabin category you do not want. Maybe that's why it's easier to point the finger and call me names.

Azamara should have contacted their customers and offered full refunds if they couldn't place us in the cabins we paid for.

I keep my point: Azamara screwed up with the dry dock time. Considering the ship is not ready 10 days past the official end date for the dry dock, just proves my point.

Agree with you completely. Cannot find any reason you were not contacted. Certainly not like Azamara.

  4. Hi Diligaf,

I'm trying my best to obtain them. So far, no luck - but I feel it will happen.

BTW, Azamara purchased 450 lbs of Caribbean Lobster today in Nevis, and they are preparing it for several dining venues tonight. How cool is that ?

It's another team effort that makes Azamara so very special.

thanks andy and pam. i made my posts prematurely.

  5. I do not, in ANY way, want to cast any aspersions on your wonderful trip, Andy. But I am known in my group of acquaintances as somebody who watches and observes everything that happens and is said. There is a first-time Azamara cruiser on this board who was willing to use their internet time to share their experiences with us. They are the ones who had packed very lightly in anticipation of being able to do laundry onboard, but were having to send it out. They didn't indicate that they had been informed that laundry would be done free while the washing machines weren't able to be used.

Please don't "poo-poo" their experience as unimportant, I imagine that until they knew they wouldn't be having to spend money for something they hadn't planned on, that was a stressful situation. It was important to them.

Perhaps you missed it but Andy said the ship offered free laundry until the machines were installed and working.

  6. Hello

Sorry if this is a silly question but we are looking at trips from Salerno to Sorrento. One trip says is goes along the Almafi Coast and the other says it goes along the Campania coast. I know Campania is a region but is the coastline the same as the Almafi Coast. The trip that goes along the Campania coast is the better trip for us for when we reach Sorrento but we did particularly want to go along the Almafi coast. Hope this makes sense because I am completely confused!!!

Campania is the region that the Amalfi coast is located. Both the same but Campania goes all the way up to Naples.

  7. The baby corn is not a deal-breaker, but it is something she really likes. While other passengers dine on veal and lamb she can eat her baby corn and not feel left out.

    pack a couple of cans

  8. Hi Phil,

Just wanted to advise that I have all the MDR menus, but I do not have current versions of Aqualina or Prime C. Perhaps you can work on getting those ?

Also, the last set of MDR menus I have, are from December 2014, which I plan to create a new "Sticky" later this week. If you can inquire if those are the most up to date, I'd appreciate it.

    Have a wonderful cruise !

Thanks Andy. Will you be posting the menus soon?
