You can purchase your all day pass through the Mount Roberts tramway website. They are cheaper than our cruiseline had them for.

Has anyone done the pedicab when in Victoria BC? I am not able to walk long distances and thought this would be a great way to see the sights?
Does anyone have any pros/cons or insight they would like to share about these?

Taking our first Alaskan cruise out of Seattle. Can anyone recommend a company that rents scooters and has them in the ship when we get there. We are sailing Celebrity if that makes a difference
We used "Scootaround". They specialize in renting scooters and other equipment to vacationers and cruises

We have a couple of people in our traveling party that will be renting scooters to use onboard our Ovation cruise to Alaska in a couple of weeks. The company we are renting through says we are welcome to use the scooters off the ship and in the ports of call but it would be at the discretion of the cruise line and ship.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Can we take rented scooters off the ship? Any concerns?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

Thank you all for your help!!
We decided on Premier Airport Shuttle to get us from pier to the airport the morning we disembark.
But now we are looking at best way to get from our hotel in downtown Seattle to Pier 91. Thinking Uber but worried about people in luggage. Will need to take several for our party of 13.

I have heard or read somewhere that Pier 91 in Seattle to the Sea=Tac Airport is a flat rate if you take Uber or taxi.
Can anyone confirm this or have knowledge of the cost?

Our travel group of 13 (aged 20-89) will be on the Ovation for the June 3rd sailing. We are so excited!!
However I do have a few questions:
1:) Since this is our first Alaska cruise, we are wondering how calm the water is or if we should expect a lot of motion. We do have a couple that
2:) Does the ship provide any binoculars for guests to use while out on deck?
3:) Does RCCL have naturalists and speakers onboard giving talks about Alaska and things to look for in terms of wildlife, etc.

But isn't the freestyle cup required to use the drink machines?
-
Thank you!!
Great idea about the beverage package!

I am usually a Caribbean cruisers so this has never been something to look for. BUT.......we are heading to Alaska on the Ovation and wondering if the ships carry the packets of hot chocolate that we could get from the Windjammer. Would like to carry our own thermal cups and can use the packets to make hot chocolate for enjoying out on the decks.
Any info would be appreciated!

Thinking about renting a scooter for my 88 year old father on our upcoming Ovation cruise to Alaska. When and how would I go about renting one?
-
Thanks for this info as I had been looking for it. We are sailing on the Allure this Sunday and I also have minor children in another cabin which had me worried about including them after reading the wording of the package details online. I was going to wait and talk to photo person onboard before ordering the digital package but I think I can go ahead and do it now based on the FAQ link shown here!
-
Thank you everyone for your responses! I am going to wait until onboard to purchase IF I decide to at all.

If I order the digital photo package on my RCCL cruise, does it include ALL guests in my traveling party (6 of us in 3 staterooms) or is it for those only in MY stateroom?? The website says in fine print that it only includes the passengers in the stateroom of person purchasing the package. However, I was just curious if anyone had experience with using the package and can either confirm or deny this. I don't want to pay $249 and only be able to use it for 2 people.
Thanks in advance for any input!
Happy Cruising........

That's what I was wondering. Thank you so much for your response!

I am also struggling with this and find myself asking questions on the boards that I am sure would be answered on here if it was easier to search. Hopefully someone will let us know easier way.

Are there any self service laundry facilities onboard? It has been several years since we cruised on RCCL and I can't remember if those are available or not.
Is there a library where you can go to check out/play board games?

Going to Labadee on the Allure in 3 weeks. My daughters are interested in kayaking while visiting that island. I see there is an excursion for kayaking but that’s not really want they are looking for since it goes out to an island and where you get some time there. The girls are mainly interested in kayaking just around the shore while there. Are there kayak rentals on the island just to use without going through the cruiseline excursion.? Also, if yes, does anyone know the cost?
Thanks in advance for your help!

We have recently booked the Allure for next month and since it has been a few years since we cruised with RCCL we have a few questions:
1:) Are the drink/soda packages available for purchase online thru RCCL website really cheaper than waiting to purchase onboard?
2:) I do not see anywhere online to prepay gratuities. Is it possible to pay in advance or is it strictly onboard only? Can we charge those to onboard account or will we need to carry cash for those?
3:) We are interested in purchasing the luggage valet service for our post cruise flight home. Is this still offered? I am assuming it is only available once onboard?
Thanking you all in advance for your help!!

THANK YOU all so much! Great ideas here and I will make sure I am well stocked with motion sickness meds when we board the ship!! Sounds like most of the time there is little no movement felt. That was what I was hoping for 🙂

We have a short port stop (7:00-1:00pm) next month while cruising on the Allure of the Seas. My daughter and her friend want to take time to run to the Plaza Las Americas mall so they can visit the American Eagle store there. That's where they work here in Tennessee and they like the idea of visiting the store in San Juan. I know there is so much to see and do in San Juan that I hate to take time out to do this, but I was wondering if anyone can provide any insight on how far away is it from the pier and how long will it take and what is best mode of transportation to get there? Any advice or information would be most appreciative!!
Ovation to Alaska.....thoughts from recent cruisers

Embarking on Ovation this upcoming Friday and wondered how the past few cruises have been? Curious as to how the service and crowds have been.
Any tips on things that should not be missed while on the ship?
In regards to the ports, I think I have researched and came up with a fairly decent gameplan. Any tips or suggestions to what I might have missed?
