I've booked this hotel for our Oct 3rd cruise out of POM. I see that there is also a TGI Fridays and Red Lobster close to the hotel. Does the hotel offer shuttle service to these restaurants? It looks like a little bit of a walk and we both have artificial knees, making long walks a little difficult. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THX

The hotel does offer free shuttle service to local restaurants/businesses; we've stayed at the hotel and have used their shuttle several times over the years!

Does anyone know when the decorations are taken down? Here it is normally on 12th night i.e about 6 Jan. We are on Reflection on 4th January so am wondering if they will still be up!!!

On a 6 day cruise that departed January 1st a few years back, there were some decorations up at the start of the cruise, but most were down by the end.

  3. I attended watercolor classes on my Equinox cruise, in April this year. Loved them! The 'model' painting was of a landmark on one of the islands we were visiting. They were offered on a couple of sea days, at 10am. I'm heading back to the Equinox at the end of this month, and hope they are still offered!

  4. For my last 3 cruises, flying home out of FLL, we've had departure times of 10:50, 11:00, and 11:05...all went fine. As others have mentioned, you will be best to do self embarkation, and in doing so, get in line on the ship for that EARLY! i.e. if your self embarkation assembly time is 7:45, arrive to your designated area to queue for walk off at least 30 min ahead of then. Good Luck!

  5. We stayed in 3144 earlier this year. As the above post mentions, 3144 and 3142 have their own separate entryway door/corridor. Loved the cabin's huge porthole window!! Great location. No noise problems for us whatsoever. Would not hesitate to book it again, and have actually been disappointed when cabins in that area have not been available on cruises I've been 'eyeing'. Enjoy!

  6. Bemardc, I'm glad you asked this question as I was wondering the same thing.

Does anyone know - I am Elite, but have 2 guests staying with me on my upcoming cruise. Does only one guest get the special Elite card?

  7. We lucked into a Royal Suite a few years back. I agree, it's kind of hard to return to a non-suite cabin, but, somehow we have managed :p

Saving our pennies (errr dollars) to someday be able to enjoy that level of luxury, space, and perks!

  8. My wife and I have taken several cruises over the years, mostly with Celebrity, and really enjoy what they offer in terms of the ships features and amenities. If you shop around and book at the right time, you can get good rates (we don't cruise unless it's a deal!)

In February while on the Constellation, travelling with a large group of straight girlfriends, we were picked to be contestants on the ships Not-so Newlywed game.:p We won, too! The audience/other passengers were all very positive and congratulating us all around.

Enjoy your cruise, wherever it takes you!

  9. We love cruising and enjoy meeting so many different people guests and crew alike! A couple of years back, we were placed at a lovely table in the MDR with two other couples. Great conversation, along with interesting stories and life tales. On the last night we got around to going round the table to share what each one of us does for a living. It was then I figured out where I recognized one of the gentlemen at our table. http://m.hrw.org/bios/chuck-lustig

  10. Cyber Monday email from Celebrity...

"Caribbean Cyber Monday Offer ("Offer") applies to select 4-7 night Caribbean sailings departing 12/9/13 - 1/26/14"....Additional 3rd/4th guests sail free

However, when you click on the link in the email from Celebrity and it takes you to their website it still just says

"Bookmark this page and come back on Cyber Monday to take advantage of the best value we've had all year on select Caribbean vacations. 24 hours only!"

Guess this would be a great deal for folks with children who can sail last minute over the holiday...

  11. Hi Denise & Alby, I read your post on the main thread and thought I'd jump over here and say hello! A meetup at the Martini Bar sounds great. As we are from Ohio and there is currently about 14 inches of snow on the ground, we are really looking forward to this cruise!! Are you both from Florida or are you transplants from somewhere else originally? (We both talk about moving south but have yet to do it:D)

Hope to see you onboard in a week!
