  1. Roatan Honduras had fantastic snorkeling right at the beach within walking distance when you get off the ship. We saw so many things I had never seen before. There were 8 of us and all were extremely impressed. Just went in right off the shore or there is a walkway you can walk onto and get in the water at the end where it is already a little bit deeper. We snorkeled almost all morning then went back in to shore and had jerk chicken off a vendor at the beach....fabulous meal! Someone else had fresh coconut they drill for a fresh coconut drink. We did find that in the afternoon the water was merkier so it wasn't as clear as the morning so I would recommend going early. Have been snorkeling many times with guides but I will have to say this might have been my favorite beach/food/snorkeling experience in all the cruises I've gone on! You don't have to pay for anything...just the food which was very reasonably price. We did have our own snorkel gear. I can't remember if you can rent any there. I think you can.

  2. You sent me pictures on a link for Coki Beach. Thanks. I did get them. They were awesome. Again trying to see your pics from Sapphire Beach and again they are not coming up. If you have another link to send, I would appreciate seeing them too. So after reading both review, did you like Sapphire or Coki Beach better? Your review of Sapphire Beach sounded amazing...Where did you see more fish...unusual fish? Thanks

  3. I'm pretty new to this....was trying to see your pictures from Coki Beach. Not finding them....was wondering what did you see when snorkeling? Do you know if they rent equipment there? We have our own but another couple does not. Do you just take a taxi there from the ship? How far is it and about how much does it cost? Thanks so much in advance.

  4. Sorry...pretty new to all of this....trying to look at your pictures from Coki Beach. Not sure how to get to them.....what did you see when you were snorkeling? How far is it from the port? So you would just go to Coki Beach instead of going to Trunk Bay on St. John? Thanks for your help

  5. We are looking to snorkel off shore at a beach, if possible, as opposed to an excursion. Not opposed to a local taking us if there are any suggestions. Anyone snorkel from a beach right off shore? If so, how did you get there and how much was it per person, round trip? There will be six of us. Any amenities there? i.e., just something to drink, maybe chairs, doesn't have to be fancy. Just looking for good snorkeling, as cheap as possible. will pay to go with someone if it's truly worth the money. Thanks in advance.

  6. So, if it were you that was the tourist, would you just snorkel right at the beach that is the closest, would you go to Buck Island, or would you go to Sandcastle Beach? I will be there on a Wednesday.... Thanks so much. Your posts are incredibly helpful!!!

  7. Is Buck Island worth going to for snorkeling? If so, what's the best value and best way to get there? If not Buck Island, what's good for snorkeling? Thanks in advance.
