We never had any issues.  Once you are docked for the night you can get off any time, you will just need to carry your own luggage off.

Hi Everyone!

Hoping someone can answer this question that a few of us have regarding an upcoming cruise on the NCL Prima.  We port in Iceland overnight the day before we are to disembark the ship.  Seeing as we are staying overnight in port, are we allowed to disembark very early in the morning on the 2nd day to catch our flights?  A few of us are getting different answers from NCL and no one seems to know.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

Does anyone know if she will be back on the Edge at all or is she now with the Beyond until it sails in April?

Glad it worked out for you!  I wouldn't be happy with that cabin either.  I don't like even looking down at the lifeboats let alone sitting directly next to one.  Maybe Royal (if they don't already) could say guaranteed obstructed view balcony in their description to help with this.

Agreed... Harmony of the Seas for sure!  I did like the Breeze as well but if I had a choice between the two it would be Harmonty hands down.

We did the Sapphire Princess a few years back and it was the perfect size and lots of outdoor space for Alaska.  This year we booked the Golden Princess and I hope it's the same.  I've been on the Royal Princess, she is a beautiful ship but as many have already said here, I agree that she is too big for Alaska.  NCL has their two big ships in two of our port days which I am not happy about.  It's going to be very crowded.

Three of us did the slide with shorts and short sleeves without any issues.  We just followed the staff members instructions.  We are all on the short side though so didn't have a problem bumping our heads.

We were on this cruise too!  A little scrambling trying to get our party of 6 approved for different vacation dates from our employers but Royal was able to accommodate us on the following week's sailing and gave us the same price and a $200 OBC for each room.  They apologized profusely and got everything taken care of for us within 10 minutes.  We're good to go again! :)

Thank you so very much for this thread. I have learned a lot and it's really appreciated. I just have a couple of questions that I didn't see already posted (I read all pages).

At the Copenhagen Airport is there just one arrivals area for all airlines? We are meeting my Mom there, she will be flying in from Canada directly. We will be arriving in CPH via Amsterdam. Just trying to figure out where to find each other.

Also for the following attractions, do you know (or anyone else who has been there) approximately how much time we should budget for each location? We are in town Friday evening, all day Saturday & Sunday and then we board our ship on Monday lunch time so we are just trying to figure out if we can get everything done.

We were on the Escape last year and it was first come first serve when you got on the ship at Guest Relations. Not sure if they have changed that or not. We got to the port very early to make sure we were one of the first ones on and when they let the group board it was a scene from the Amazing Race, seriously. Everyone rushing full tilt down to the Guest Services desk. I can't remember how many passes they sell but I know it's limited.
