  1. I will be cruising on Liberty of the Seas on 22 Oct visiting Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth and I am looking for recommendations as to what to do in the various ports.

I will be in party of 15 and would like to do an island tour amongst other things and would prefer a private tour with van and driver for about 3 to 4 hours. That way we could do what we want.  Could you recommend a company which  I could contact.

Also could you please advise whether there will be a Caribbean night and which night will be formal night. Thank you.

  2. I will cruising on the Anthem of the Seas from Southampton in October. Could you please recommend a hotel where I could stay the night before the cruise, Could you also recommend a good car park near Southampton cruise terminal where I could leave the car during the cruise. I have not cruised out of Southampton before so any information you could give would be appreciated. Thank you.

  3. For those who have cruised on the Anthem 3 night cruise from Southampton could you please advice what the dress code is for evening dining. Also how far away is the town centre from Bruges port and what is there to do at the two ports of call - Bruges & La Harve. Any other information you could give would be helpful. Could you also recommend a hotel near Southampton port for the night before the cruise. Thank you.

Also on the two ports of calls what is there to do and how far away from the town are the ports, are taxis readily available etc, Any information you could give would be greatly appreciated.

  6. For those of you who have been on Ventura recently could you please advise whether there is a time limit to be back on board when overnighting in Barbados on the first night of the cruise i.e. if I wanted to go out for the night what time would I have to be back or can one be back any time of the night/early morning. Thank you

  7. For those who have been on Ventura before could you please advice whether there are shops on board where you can buy gifts etc. For instance on the American ships they sell watches, scarves, handbags etc when they have their $10 sale, has Ventura got the same sale set up and if so at what price.

    Thank you.

  8. Hi Richleeds,

As I understand it, my E tickets and luggage tags will be available 5 weeks before departure. Seats can be booked via P & O 4 days before departure, I am not sure if there is a charge for this. I do not have a booking reference as I believe P & O did a block booking and they will not give out booking references, so seat have to be booked through them.

  9. I will be on Venture 20th Dec and travelling from Gatwick to Barbados on 19th Dec. Checked with cruise personaliser and will not be able to book seats until 5weeks before i.e. around 14 Nov. I noticed on this board that some people have been able to book their seats, so why have I got to wait 5 weeks before. Is there anyone else travelling on Ventura on 20 Dec who have not had their flight details confirmed ?

  10. I will be travelling to Barbados from Gatwick on 19th Dec and noticed that some passengers have been able to book their seats. I checked the cruise personaliser today and my flight will not be available for booking seats until 5 weeks before. How come some passengers have been able to book their seats ? I am a bit confused.

  12. Good morning all, We are booked on the Ventura leaving from Gatwick on 19 Dec. on British Airways at 10.40am. I am aware that I have to go through immigration at Barbados but could those of you who have done this cruise before please advice when would I have to attach the cruise label tag to my suitcase, do I do it when checking in at Gatwick or when I get to Barbados.

Secondly a P & O rep will meet us at Barbados airport but what happens to the suitcases when we get to the cruise terminal, do they automatically go on the ship or do I have to check them in. Also what happens to the suitcases on disembarkation after leaving them outside the cabins the night before. My flight back to Gatwick is 20.15 pm what time would we have to leave the ship to go to the airport.

Will I be able to pre book seats on British Airways since I do not have a booking reference for BA, if so, is this free.

What is the atmosphere like on board on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Is there anyone out there who will be on the same flights as myself ?

Any advice you could give would be much appreciated.

  13. We will be cruising on Ventura flying from Gatwick and noticed that we will be on a BA flight. Could you please advice what is the pros and cons of a BA flight as opposed to P & O usual charter flight.

Will I be able to pre-book seats on BA and if so is it free of cost.

Also those who have cruised on Ventura could you please tell me what the cabins are like, I have booked a balcony cabin R255, which is a sheltered

cabin, is this a good cabin ?

  14. We will be doing the Xmas & New Years cruise on Ventura flying from Gatwick and noticed that we will be on a BA flight. Could you please advice what is the pros and cons of a BA flight as opposed to P & O usual charter flight.

What is New Year's Eve like, what entertainment will there be and will free champagne be given out to see the new year in as they do on the American ships.

Any advice you can give would be much helpful I have cruised on a couple of the American ships but not on P & O. Thank you

  15. I will be on the Ventura for the Xmas & New Year Cruise 2014. I have just noticed on the P & O website that I will be travelling on a British Airways flight from Gatwick on 19th December rather than a Thomson or Thomas Cook charter flight. My concern is on the charter flight once I check in at Gatwick I won't see my luggage again until I get to the ship. With BA I have to collect my luggage and go through immigration in Barbados. Those of you who have done this cruise before, could you give me your pros and cons between the charter flight and a BA schedule flight. Thank you.

  16. Good morning, I would like to hear from all those who have just returned from the 14 night Xmas and New Years cruise on Ventura. I have booked this cruise for Xmas 2014 and would be very interested in what your comments are about this cruise. The good and bad points, drinks packages, what was the food like etc., Also what happened on Xmas Eve/Xmas day ( what's on ) and New Year's Eve etc . Any information you can give would be appreciated as I am looking forward to this cruise. Thank you, Rose
