The one posted was refunded all at once. I received a couple of more a few days later.

So they refunded it piece meal or all at once? We recently got our taxes and fees refunded, but not the fares.

  2. Thankfully I finally received my full refund today, 2 weeks from the time of cancellation. I emailed them  at

casl.disneydestinations@disneyonline.com and they responded in less than 24 hours. I guess I was blessed.

On March 30, 2020, reservation number XXXXXX received the following refunds:

$376.58 to card ending in 3007
$1,084.92 to card ending in 8009
$1,074.00 to card ending in 8009
$426.00 to card ending in 8009
$1,500.00 to card ending in 6003

  3. Had to cancel our cruise from San Diego like everybody else. How long has it taken for others to receive their refund. It has been over 2 weeks for us and yet to see a refund.

    Thanks

  4. Hello all. We are heading for the 5-day  San Diego cruise this April 5. We have 2 rooms and are interested in booking the Greek Isle cruise for 2020. How many bookings are we allowed to create on board  to avail of the 10% discount?

    thanks in advance

  5. If you exchange one of the cabin mates who has the gold status into their room and move  one of their cabin mate with a silver status into your room and link them you will have the ability to book once your booking window opens.

In our case, we had another family with silver status join (we have platinum status) us on  an upcoming  cruise. My wife was booked into their room and our friend's wife was booked in our room creating 2 rooms with platinum members and allowing us to book excursions and most importantly booking Palos simultaneously when the booking window for platinum members open . Of course our wives sleep in their own rooms with their husband resides.

Sea days.  If I'm paying DCL rates, I like to take advantage of the ship.  If I want a floating hotel, I can do a much cheaper line to visit ports.

I like the way you think.

I totally agree. I don't want to take a cruise ship that looks like a mall. I can do that in any city.We have climbing walls, skating rinks and flow riders in our city. Why do I need that in a ship. I love DCL because they feel and look like cruise ships, they way they should appear.

  7. For 1st time cruisers, port days are almost always fun. But with port-intensive cruises such as the Mediterranean cruises sea days are much appreciated I would prefer SEA days over ports anytime that is, if my intention is to relax on the ship. Having done multiple caribbean and Bahamas Disney cruises, I wouldn't mind returning to one of those cruises on the Fantasy and remain on board and skip the excursions.

  8. Just returned from a 10-day Med cruise which started on the 7th. As expected there were repeat shows and some at 730 pm. I wasn't sure how it felt but it gave us more free time. What I didn't like was the on the first day the show and only show was at 730 pm. It was impossible to squeeze 2500 people in the theatre made for 1000. Either way, the cruise was great and would do it over again.

  9. I recall Romeo though he had never been my server. He is a close friend of Ricky also a Filipino server who recalls my whole family. Yes they remember!!

I was on the Magic in 2014 for the Baltic Cruise and I had deliberately left my daughter's shoes in the trash can as I wanted to get rid of it. 2 years later I got back on the Magic in 2016 for the Spain cruise and one the host who I have never met before told me that Maricar, who was our host in the 2014 cruise reminded me that I had left my daughter's shoes in the cabin - 2 years ago. How in the world did she know that I had left the pair of shoes 2 years ago. I cannot fathom that. Yes they remember.

Another example is when I return to Palos in the Magic several servers such as Alvin and Andrew will exclaim loudly, " Sir, welcome back!" then they inquire why the others who were present in the last cruise are not on board in the present cruise. Yes, they remember.

  10. We are platinum castaway members. We've only done 2 ABDs - one land Czech Republic and the latest Rhine River Cruise through the AmaWaterays. We loved both of them. The Disney experience is definitely there. The guides literally go out of their ways to make things right. We had a family who was scheduled to attend a wedding in London after the Rhine river cruise and the wife suddenly received an email that their AirBNB cancelled their stay. When one of the guides found out about this, he contacted an individual to assist this family in finding a room in London. I was very much impressed.

The program is definitely geared toward the family. I never got to see my 11-year old when we were on board the ship. She entirely enjoyed the companionship with acquaintances and guides.

I would schedule another ABD river cruise if they offered the Normandy excursion.

  11. Thank you for all of the response! We will be spending 4 days at the WDW prior to the cruise. The children are not aware of the cruise so it'll be a huge and wonderful surprise. I can't wait till we see their faces when we head towards the port and see that beautiful ship.

Funny thing about the shows. I feel that the performers on the Dream among all of the other ships were outstanding and better than the others. I've only been 3 times on the Dream and each time the shows left me in tears. We accompanied another family 2 years ago on the Dream and I just can't get over the performances. I wonder if DCL assign the best performers on the Dream as most of the passengers are 'trying' out the DCL and eventually winning them over to try to other longer trips on the other ships.

  12. Moki, I totally agree with the last statement. However, the other families' foreign currency is less powerful than the USD and travelling to the US is not cheap as they will also be visiting others states and cities. The 4-day cruise was actually $1500 more than the 3-day cruise on the same category. Weird, and I couldn't believe it. Fortunately for my family we will be heading for the 10-day med cruise on July 7, 2017.

  13. Hello all! 3 families including ours will be on the April 2018 3-day cruise. It'll be there 1st and we are Platinum members. They wanted to try out DCL. I had wished to do at least a 4-day cruise but the price during spring break did not justify the difference. What shows will we be expecting on a 3-day cruise? We haven't done one this short at all as we primarily take the annual 10 days or more European DCL cruises. We skipped this year for the ABD Rhine River cruise this July 2017. It was fabulous by the way!! Anyway, DCL website suggested shows including Believe, Golden Mickey and Beauty and the Beast. Are these what we should be expecting?

    thanks in advance

  14. Yes you are right, it is with AMA. We have always wanted to do a river cruise, but this was the only one we found that was actually geared towards families. We actually have never sailed with DCL either so have zero Disney experiences. I think the cost may still be oppressive though for 7 nights but I'm waiting for the quote.

Well actuallyTauck Bridges does something similar to ABD River Cruises. ABD River cruises was patterned over the Tauck Bridges. My brother took the Danube Tauck Bridges and he felt it was very similar to ABD as it is geared towards the family. Lots of children were on board.
