Just returned from a cruise on the Adventure of the Seas and we had a group of Elvis enthusiasts onboard and some of them seemed to feel that they were entitled to the run of the ship, how can I check if there are any groups on our cruise on the Oasis next April?
-
I understand that the Coco Cay beach Club is priced by the cruise but can anyone tell me the price for a typical Oasis cruise and what is included in the price?

You’re insulted that they gave you the room you paid for? How is it insulting that they aren’t giving you something for free?
You will have to quote me from my post where I said that!

We will be sailing on the Adventure this Saturday and we are getting daily emails wanting us to bid on an upgrade. What ever happened to rewarding lucky cruisers with upgrades for free? While we usually book a balcony we decided to book an ocean view cabin to just try to save some money and to see if we could tolerate not being able to just step outdoors. We are only platinum members and really don't expect or ever hope for an upgrade but these emails wanting us to bid $500 for a balcony are almost insulting.

Op since you booked do far in advance were you able to get the extra large balcony?? We like trying different rooms for our fall sailings (we cruise 2 times a year) Was able to snag one of the extra large balconies for oct 2020 oasis.
Didn't actually know about those balconies but someone in our party got one by accident, we are jealous.

I was hoping that was possible, we've never used My Time dining before, Thanks.

We don't sail until April 2021 but we got a good price on a Central Park balcony cabin on the Oasis. Anyone have any pros or cons concerning Central Park balconies that might either convince me to keep or change the cabin?

We have always tipped our wait staff in the MDR at the end of a cruise for excellent service and it was always deserved. We will be on the Adventure of the Seas in a couple of weeks and have chosen to utilize My Time Dining, how do we reward excellent service if we only have a team for one meal?

Back in January, on the Oasis, the MDR has two lines for breakfast, one for buffet and one for made to order. Can anyone tell me if this is done on the Adventure of the Seas?

Looking for recommendations on good paella that isn't too far from the port in San Juan. Thanks in advance.

Going to be in St. Thomas on the Oasis next week and have never been downtown from Crown Bay. What is the best way to get downtown from Crown Bay? Thanks in advance.

We have used taxis in the past with less than satisfactory experiences, never had a problem with Lyft.
-
We are doing a park, stay and cruise at a hotel near the port but are not enthused about waiting for the shuttle provided by the hotel, does Lyft operate in Port Canaveral?
-
Good advice, thanks.

My wife and are have cruised throughout the Caribbean and are going to do Alaska the last week of August. We have no idea on clothing or jackets or shoes or other things that might be specific to Alaskan cruises. Will we ever wear shorts? How heavy of jackets? Will we need boots? I have surmised that we will need rain gear but everything else is unknown. Help and suggestions please!

Before a cruise my DW saves singles and I always have several in my pocket. Even with the package I tip waiter or bartender an extra dollar and while I can't swear that it makes any difference I usually can easily find a waiter and my drinks always taste good.

In 2014 on my 60th birthday we were in FLL pre cruise and my family rented a Camaro SS convertible for the day from Sixt. We picked it up in town and returned it to the airport. This was a birthday present so I don't know the price but the over all experience was a good one.

Thanks for all the responses our minds are more at ease, I have a hard time comprehending a group chartering a ship the size of Oasis.

The last two times we booked an RCCL cruise they were both cancelled due to refurbishments. We are looking at January of 2017 and are wondering if anyone has heard if the Oasis is due for drydock? It is disconcerting to book and plan for a cruise only to have it pulled away.

We stayed at the Residence two years ago and had one of the best stays in a hotel ever. The employees from the manager on down seemed honestly concerned that our stay be perfect.

This may have been covered in other posts but combing through those can be very tedious. My questions are; If paying for drink package while still in port is a state tax charged? and if you buy the package after sail away does RCCL give credit for drinks already purchased that day?
The reason for the second question is that I know Carnival gives credit for drinks purchased on the day you buy the package. Thanks in advance for your answers.

:oAfter redeeming over $500 worth of Visa points for OBC online I am confused on what I need to do to insure this amount is credited to our account. The online redemption site said something about contacting our TA or calling RCCL. Does anyone know the procedure? Thanks for the help.

Anyone know of any nice beach bars that aren't terribly busy in Aruba?
