  1. On the oasis it wasn't able until ew were on the ship using the ships wifi.  We sat down in boleros and did the booking for the shows.   The ice show wasn't booked but the diving show was booked.

Look up Shore excursions separate. We might do the Northstar while in port at Nassau  since we have been there 5 of 6 times already

    Hi All!

I figured I'd start a new thread to see if anyone had options for LGBTQ+ specific cruises that were not Atlantis? I'm interested in taking a cruise where (as they say) I'm part of the majority on the ship and don't have to feel out of place, but I'm not sure that Atlantis cruises are exactly right for myself or my husband. Does anyone have any recommendations for cruise lines or specific cruises (could be large, small or private ships) that cater to LGBTQ+ cruisers?

Hello I too am an older gay couple.  I know that Atlantis I s great for all ages but I think I've lived past my tea dance pool side drinking days.   Do get me wrong I do enjoy hot shirtless sweaty men dance but I refuse to spend 1000+ for airfares to to on an over crowded ship full of way to much alcohol or iml type cabin parties.

We have greatly enjoyed rccl and recently celebrity.    I haven't had any issues with us being gay on any ship.

If you want exclusive gsy cruises or group try vacaya. I think that's the name.    I choose cruises more on where they are going.  However I do you my fraternity recruitment skills to set up meetings for before and after cruises and even during shore excursion.   A college bud on my husband took us around Ketchikan.  A park range I met on manhunt showed be q little of Denali np.   A fraternity brother went to lunch with us in Vancouver.

You might want to consider a cruise that starts in Boston and hit ptown before or after.

  3. I started a short cheap cruise for men that dont need the huge deck parties nor the week long commitment. I will try to use the LGBT gathering before the late dinner to meat greet and review who is hosting the cabin parties that night and what we are all doing the following day. We are planning on visitiing island house while in key west on the 5th and Inn Leather after debarking on the 8th. Cozumel is open and maybe we will have a little shuffle or blackjack tournament in the casino,.

Im from Fort Wayne and we have men from INDY the SE Mich/NW ohio area. chicago and ft lauderdale attending. there are still cabins available so book now and join us. if you are the ship but not in our group let us know. we can maybe add you to the dinner booking and get tables together or in a large group.

  4. Looking for some cruise mates to join me in a cabin or in a 2nd or 3rd cabin to create our own gay play cruise in the first or 2nd week in October. Great deals on Majesty or the Seas. Older boat and only 4 days includes stops in Nasseau, private island and key west. Looking for non parTy guys an non smokers. How ever not afraid to make our own fireworks in the cabin instead of watching the shows or commedians on board or spending my money and time in the casino. Perfer middle aged guys that arent into the gay bar scene will be driving down from Fort Wayne Indiana and probably spending the night in Atl or northern Florida and then hosting a pre cruise party near MIA. Currently also posted this on a few other sites. HMU if interested in joining. Live riding the rapids at atlantis and like the RCCL beach of the private island . they had a great buffet thewas more then just the Carnival chicken pieces hot dogs and hamburgers. Also the water edge doesnt have any coral like the carnival island and would also like to find someone to sail off teh beach on a Hobi. Havent sailed since college. Our fraterntiy was the home of the tech sailors snd we front loaded our summer schedule so we could sail in the afternoon. I have snorkeled before but after snokeling thegreat barrier reef nothing in the carribean or Key west compares. HMU if interestedin joining the cruise with me

  5. Hey guys congrats on 25. My partner and I just celebrated commitment 16 years ago in maui, 15 years ago Civil Union at Mt Kilington Vt and last December we are married at our Ucc church 15 min after getting the marriage license in Fort Wayne Indiana.

My partner and I have gone on three cruise together a short one to Cozumel out of NOLA, one of Eastern Carribean out of Miami and a south bound from Whittier AK to Vancouver. Since you like hiking if you havent been to AK before see if you can find one with a stop in Stika. It appears that few stop there but it has a great national park and raptor rescue center and bunch of Russian historical stuff since that was the russian capital of Alaska until the mid 1800s. We also did and 5 day Rv trip prior to the cruise and visited Denali Fairbanks and the Fyrods near Seward. If you wnat nice cozy morning with coffee on the balcony it is very nice. we didnt do any shows or casino on the trips since we were tired from the hiking site seeing and the it still left time for play. We didnt do any cruise line excursions but did all things we found on trip advisor. In Skagway we opted not to do the yukon train ride instead we drove 89 miles with an online guide on Road to Emerald Lake. it was incredible and was about 1/5 the cost of the 26 miles train ride. the drive was 90 miles. We also did a zip line in jueno by Canopy tours which was not the cruise line excursion. We got a jet boat ride to and from the dock and there were two more walking bridges and 4 more zip lines. We love that our cruise ended in Vancouver. We had never been so we had a few days just enjoying the local. I am an honorary Canadians since I was in a fraterity in Flint Michgain that had a majority of its members from Canada.

I would stay away from teh lower price cruise lines but anything in alaska will probably have and older group of folks. Carnival anytime of the year has a ton of kids that are not managed by parents and if it is family cruise ship make sure it has a serenity deck where no one under 18 is allowed.

  6. I like the idea of the bath tub. I learned in the Bahamas many years ago. We snorkeled on the great barrier reef about 14 years ago. My partner had only snorkeled one other time. It was an amazing time until we swam over a cliff. It went from 15 feet to who knows. I was a steep dark cliff. It scared the crap out of my partner and he swam over the top of me to get back to the tour boat. Later he told me he though a shark would come and eat us. So I got a snorkel full of water and had to regroup for about ten minutes after nearly be being drown by a friend that wasnt agreat swimmer but probably saw too many Jays movies. For you other snorkelers out there remember to put sun screen on the tops of your ears. I didnt get any burn except on the top of my ears. I still to this day get reminder crusties from the ear burn I got. We are in STT on chrismas eve and renting a car, taking our own snorkel stuff and driving around to a few of the beaches and ending the day with the walking tour of the town and maybe take the sky ride just before getting back on the ship.

Have a great time. I have seen some folks learning now to snorkel at the local Y. If you have a local school you might also want to see if they would let you learn to snorkel there.

  7. Partner and I might be on our 2rd honeymoon. thank to 9 people in black dresses the men in Indiana can now get married. We were committed in maui in 1999. Civilly united in 2000 in killington Vermont and no were are thinking about taking a few hours to hit the clerks office the week before the cruise.

I have cruise a few times and most of the times single because my partner is a 4th grade teacher. We are heading out on the Conquest and will be in SJ on christmas day. This is our first time there and my partner doesnt like the sun anymore since he has had a few rounds of skin cancer due to his stupidity in his younger years working at a lake dock with no SPF.

We are probably going to do a walking tour in old SJ and maybe end up at the gay beach and knowing my partner probably at a strip club. He loves to tuck a buck. He lives at the local bar on Tuesday night since that is stripper night. He comes back every week complaining of the same strippers and all the Str8 ladies that show up. Its the only male stripers in Fort wayne Indiana. We have about 8 strip clubs for men

I think we might attend the newly or not so newly wed game. Hell might be the newest and longist all in one. Might be married for less then a week and with you count the number of years we have been commited it s 15 or 75 in Str8 years. We are not the 20 to 30 somethings but we like to act like we are least in our 30's. After next June we will both be in our 50s.

Any info on Strip club would be appreciated.

  8. Well lets just say I have never experience any more gay bashing on cruise ships or the ports then any other place in the US. I was car jacked in DTW on the way to gay bar and it was by two str8 A holes that I had great pleasure it making sure I followed up on their cases and made sure they spent some time in jail. I have been on the big red boat many years ago, in alaska and in the bahamas on RCCL and Carnival. I have had no issues with the bed arranagements have had no issues with my table mates and no issues with the folks over a few PDA. My partner and I are not completely comfortable our selves with Open PDA with Gay folks or Str8 people. Please keep your tongues in your mouths. I dont care how drunk you are. LOL

My partner and I have been together for 18 years committed for 16 and Civilly United for 15. Since our new nine friend on the Supreme Court have said that wont discuss the red neck laws of Indiana, we are thinking about hitting the local clerks office before the cruise the week before Cruise. So who knows maybe we can be in the not so newly wed game by being the newest marriage (days) or the longest. Since gays get a 5 to 1 ratio for marrage, The makes mark and I married for about 80 years. LOL

We had no issues on the Alaska cruise that probably because be didnt do any ship excurtions and we too tired to hit the casinos or bars after a long day of our own excursions. If you do have any issues with the staff take it up with the customer service desk asap. Who knows it might be better then what is offered for Nortor visus issues.

  9. Heading to FL to catch a ride on RCL Enchantment of the Seas for few days to the Bahamas. this will my first on RCL and have cruise on Carnival in the past to Cozumel and Alaska. This is my first vacation since I have been in the hospital 7 times since the beginning of the year. Just need some R&R in the sun and enjoy some beach and waterslide fun. Have another vacation planned for the holiday via rail to Quebec City Montreal and Toronto. Probably Palm Springs for spring break and then a trip to Ptown and a cruise sometime in July before my partner has to go back to work. He is teacher and I think next year is his last. I "retired" this year after having kidney failure and just walking flights of steps can be challenging. Hope I get a few hits by other lovers of Judy/Dorothy on the cruise. LOL
