Hello everyone
I have been on 10 cruises. Each and everytime my ankles, legs and feet swell. I have tried everything from the compression socks, water, water pills, lower my salt intake and etc. I was told by crew member on the ship that the ship has compression just like on an airplane, therefore there is not much that can be done. My husband does not have this problem. And as weird as it might sound I started looking at everyones ankles on the ship to see if it was happening to everyone. It wasn't. It is just the make-up of some people that this happens to. I did wear compression socks on the plane and that gave me "good" ankles on the ship for about two days. I have learned to just live with it, bring thong type sandels and enjoy myself. I do elevate my ankles on the railing of my balcony whenever i get the chance. I used to wear compression socks at night when sleeping, but that was no fun. If you drink at all on the ship that also contributes to the swelling, HOWEVER I am going to do some drinking, wear my thong type sandels and just have a blast. It is was it is and there is not much that can be done. The ankles will go down a couple of days after you get home, so just enjoy the cruise and "pretend" like you have skinny ankles, a couple of those fruity drinks and you won't care LOL. We are taking our 11th cruise in November of this year. Can't wait. I have my "fat ankle" shoes ready for packing.
Do you realize that you resurrected a thread that was four years old?

Hi,
I am a newly converted "spring/fire". I thought I was a "summer/air" for 30 years and I followed it religiously too!
I just got my color swatches from Curt (CJW) today in the mail :)
Can any of you experienced color people give me some ideas which stores carry a good selection of "spring/fire" clothing?
I LOVE to find bargins and need to redo my wardrobe with my new and exciting colors. Yesterday, I found some really nice and safe colors that I was sure of (coral, bright green, aqua) for super prices ($30 for $530 worth of clothing). That's my kind of shopping!

Where did you find that kind of deal? Details, please...........

OOOh I am so grossed out! Last night I had a nightmare about bedbugs in my suitcase and this morning I get on here and see this thread. I hope I don't read anymore about them before our cruise next month. Did anyone see that horrible special about them on Friday night? Said they are training dogs to sniff them out just like the drug sniffers. Guess where the trainer orders his bedbugs from to use in training. NEW YORK!

Have enjoyed all your help before.
We are booked through Priceline for the Hyatt Place near 17th Street for March 2010 so cann't cancel. I have read on another thread there might be problems with the hotel. Have you heard of anything.
We have stayed there twice pre-cruises and had no problems at all. We have also used the one in Tampa, also pre-cruise. What problems did you hear about as I am planning on staying there again in the next couple of months?

Thank you - however, that cost would be $100 (and I don't know if that's one way or round trip - plus I would have to take a cab to the location). If it's round trip, then Dave's isn't that much more (actually less considering the cab costs), and if it's $100 one one way - that's outrageous. Bolt and Megabus would be around $22.00 (or less) roundtrip.
I think from the way it reads - giving you the times going and coming back- the price is probably for a round trip.

I have seen them in certain drugstores too. Do they come sized?
