You can find info on Kagoshima in our travelogues. It´s a port easy to do DIY.

We have also done this cruise to Japan but Kagoshima wasn't a stop. However you might still find it interesting.

We absolutely love Japan - so much that we just booked our 4th cruise to Japan 🙂

  2. For us, definitely a room with a BIG window!  Great view from it, and both the ship and room were beautiful, but still prefer a traditional balcony.  Not that we wouldn't book an IV again, but not our first choice.

The problem with references like this is accuracy (though I guess that is the case even with the Celebrity site).  One can't even 100% trust the Celebrity App because even on there one bar menu may price the same exact item differently but I will tell you that you can trust the higher priced one is the the right one 🙂  Quality control with web and app documentation is not their specialty.

Not sure why you have such an issue with sharing a link to help someone out.  Most experienced cruisers understand nothing is guaranteed to be as posted, especially nowadays, regardless of the source of the info.  Seemed like a helpful list to give them an idea of what there is.

I have yet to sail on Royal (upcoming cruise on Liberty in 2024) and am curious to know specifics of why their shows are better. Are we talking vocal talent, production quality, set design, or what? I've only done Equinox and Apex and was thoroughly impressed with the shows in the theater based on the acrobatics, sets, and vocal talent. Cristalize on Apex was a very imersive experience that I would be surprised to see something similar on a Royal ship.

Celebrity has excellent singers and musicians, but Royal can really shine with their production shows, especially the Broadway shows.  We really like "In the Air" on Liberty and Saturday Night Fever is OK.  Wife likes it more than I do.  Many of Royals guest performers as the same that we have all seen on almost every ship/line.  And some are people we don't ever care to see again!!  (Frankie and the Dreamers)

We were frequent Royal cruisers until recent years, but service and food quality issues (before Covid), pushed us to Celebrity. We first sailed on Celebrity on the Millennium in September 2022, and experienced great service and food and an upgraded feel.

I don't believe that just because RCI does something means that X will. Take the chocolates on the pillow for example. They've been long gone from Royal since ~2009, but that change hasn't reached Celebrity, for example. So I'm hopeful 2x a day housekeeping is the same way.

Royal isn't marketing itself as a "luxury" line, so its easier for them to reduce housekeeping service. Hopefully Celebrity sticks to the their "Luxury" marketing and actually carries that out without a reduction in housekeeping services.

Same as you.... we have jumped over to Celebrity.  I cannot imagine they will make those same cleaning cutbacks.  That would cause quite an uproar on Celebrity!

After the Voyager Arctic September TA , the Voyager was is terrible condition, and it was very unstaffed , so main problems

It will be hard to book with RCL again

We were on that as well, and outside of the ports, it was the WORST cruise we have taken.  Did not care for voyager at all, and the staff was not the typical friendly, helpful staff we have become used to.  There were a few here and there, but overall, not a good experience at all!

  7. We were on in January and absolutely loved Fine Cut.  My prime rib was huge and OH SO tender and flavorful!  Also had a very good meal at Rooftop Garden Grill....love the ambiance dining there.

LPC was good, but not our favorite menu that they offer.  We also enjoyed Eden and would dine there again.
