We stayed at Fort Conde last time in Mobile. You can leave your car with them and it is less than a 5 minute walk to the terminal. Drop off luggage at the terminal, go park at hotel and walk back over. I think we paid in the $150 rang and I thought that was great considering we did not have to pay for parking at the port. Fort Conde is a beautiful B&B with nice rooms, a courtyard and a bistro across the street for dining. Have Fun!!
I booked them for after the cruise during Mardi Gras!

I tried to search but didn’t find info. We are cruising out of Mobile 2/3/24. It is the start of their Mardi Gras season. I’m struggling to find a hotel that offers shuttle from the airport or to the port that isn’tsold out or $400/night. Any suggestions?
Also after we’d like to stay a cooler days for Mardi Gras, looking for hotels on the parade routes under $300/night

Ugh! Was about to purchase a few more cards since it’s payday but not happy with the 9% discount now. I don’t need very many, so joining AARP would only save a few bucks. I guess the eCard option makes it worth it though.
Look for a discount to join. I’ve seen some googling before. One of my credit cards had an offer. Also a reward points sure I use

I haven’t seen a comment on this thread since 5/10. That is very abnormal. Has there been something and I’m not seeing updates for some reason?

I know a couple that recently booked their first NCL cruise. Long-time Carnival cruisers, never cruised with anyone else, but they were on the Celebration last month and had their worst ever Carnival experience. One bad cruise isn't going to turn them off to Carnival completely, but it did get them to look elsewhere for the first time. They looked at other lines and the price was right on an NCL Hawaiian cruise, so they went for it. I think it isn't until Sept., but I'm eager to hear how they like it.
We cruised NCL in 2012 and it was just ehhh. We tried them again last October in the Mediterranean. It was outstanding. Loved everything about NCL. However my stepdaughter and family did NCL Caribbean in January and it was horrible. Horrible service, food, everything
so who knows

We are trying out Celebrity. The gift cards on Allstate & AARP state they can only be used on new bookings and can not be used for onboard expenses. Has anyone had any experience with using gift cards on Celebrity?

Thanks - we're doing an Alaska cruise this summer. The Spirit runs Tues-Tues and that really doesn't work well for our schedules, so we're going on the Encore, so just trying to think of any discounts we could get with it!
Besides the small rooms you will love NCL. I will be cruising them more now that Carnival has declined.

I've taken advantage of the Carnival discount with AARP and All State for a number of cruises now!
Is there anything like this for Norwegian cruises? Or even any stores that see their gift cards?
No I haven’t been able to find NCL gift cards. I’ve been looking for a few years.

How far is the port?
It really depends what area Up are staying in. Large City. We stayed at Hotel Colon in Gothic Quarter. It was incredible. It was about 15 minute ride

I wanted to prepay my gratuities for an October cruise. It gives me the option on the Carnival site now, but only gives me credit card or paypal. Has anyone found a way to do it with the gift card? I am sure I can call my travel agent to do it, but wasn't sure if anyone has found a way.
Terry
I had to have my TA do it

The Carnival offer of a $35 statement credit for $100 of spend is back on some Chase credit cards. My wife has the offer on her Chase Sapphire, and I have it on my Chase Freedom. Good until the end of April.
Awesome! Off to look
