  1. My cruisetour begins June 27 in Fairbanks - suppose to board Royal Princess July 4th and disembark on July 11 in Vancouver.  I really don't want to be in the middle of my cruisetour when I find out the July 1 date has been extended and that I won't be able to get off in Vancouver! My final payment date is April 29 so I hope that I have enough information from Princess before then.  This trip has been in the planning stages for two  years  - I'll be upset if I have to cancel or Princess cancels it - but I'd rather wait a year so that I can experience the trip I've been dreaming about.

  2. I have done both a northbound and southbound cruisetour.  I enjoyed the southbound much better - the land portion had us moving constantly and I liked that once boarding the ship, I was able to relax more.  I would also recommend the connoisseur cruisetour that Princess offers - yes, it's more expensive - but on the tour that is 6 days on land, we got 14 food vouchers which includes the appetizer, entree, dessert and tip; a tour guide with you and  your group which is about 30 people who travel together; includes a couple of tours and the tip is taken care of by the tour guide. On the last day,  you tip the tour guide and they recommend $5 to $7 a day - well worth it!  I have my reservations in for June 2020 on Royal Princess - can't wait to once again enjoy the connoisseur tour and to share it with my 6 friends.

  3. I am cruising southbound on the Star Princess, June 4, 2017. We are a group of 7 and wanted adjoining mini suites port side. While making reservations last week, I discovered that the mini suites we wanted were already taken! So, if I were you, I would not wait too long! Of course if you aren't concerned where your cabin is located, then waiting might work for you.
