  1. We used RomeInLimo for our time in Italy for our latest cruise. We stopped in Livorno (Mike was our driver), Rome (David), and Naples (Francesco). Each driver brought something a little different to the mix, and we enjoyed each one. RIL assisted with all tickets, and we had them assist with the guide for the Vatican. She was wonderful, and the folks in my group (who had never been to Rome before) completely loved her!

I would definitely recommend utilizing RIL while in Italy. They were fantastic. Just be aware that while the drivers are very knowledgeable, they are not tour guides (in fact, they don't go in to the sites with you but stay with the vehicle instead) and you will probably end up being the tour guide for your group, so read up!

I fully intend to use RIL again on my next trip!

  2. where do you buy the funship dollars at, didnt see it on the carnival site anywhere thanks for your info

You can buy the funship dollars by calling the Bon Voyage department. This is the number I found for them: 1-800-522-7648. When you call, you have to specify if you want them mailed to you or if you want them directly applied to your account so they show up as 'On Board Credit'.

ok, so we've been burned before on scam with our credit card and have become very leary as to who has this info, so here's my question, can you buy a prepaid visa card with 5 or6 hundred on it and use that for your sign and sail account? how about using travelers checks? is that possible? buying booze from bv so shouldnt be charging much in drinks, just looking for others input and i guess i should call carnival too. thanks in advance for your time and have a great day tina

You can only use a prepaid visa card only if it has your name embossed on it (I've never actually seen one of those but have heard they exist). You CAN use traveler's checks to secure your onboard account. You will provide those to Guest Services after getting on board. You can also do cash the same as the traveler's checks.

    Good Luck!

  3. OP u mention you have 3 in your party, so do we; which is why i didn't book one.

PVP indicated that the bedding for 3 person on all the Destiny afts is a rollaway, i can't imagine how it would fit in the odd shaped room comfortably to allow easy movement w/i the cabin area.

there are several of the wrap aft cabins w/a queen bed vs the 2 twins, maybe those would be a better fit?

a couple posters here indicated that their young children were able to sleep on the smallish sofa, won't work for my 17 yo DS though

My last cruise was on the Triumph and we had the wrap balcony, port side, Deck 6 (can't remember cabin number, sorry!). We were three, myself and DD (21) and DS (18). The cabin itself was somewhat triangle shaped, and the roll away was placed in front of the vanity. During the day, it was folded up and placed against the wall under the phone. During the evening, it was only in the way if we wanted to get in one of the drawers (we didn't). I personally LOVED the cabin and the balcony! My DD, not so much as she suffers from motion sickness, and our trip was rather choppy on Christmas Day, so she was not doing too well. I think, as far as romance goes, it would have been wonderful. I and the kids did truly enjoy it, because they had 4 chairs, 2 on the side of the ship, and 2 on the back. We spent lots of time out there, enjoying the views! I would do it again in a heartbeat!
