We are flying in Feb 13 for the 10-day cruise on the Gem out of New York. Embarkation: Feb 14
Staying at Embassy Suites by Hilton New York Manhattan Times Square
Question1. Is the Big bus tour (hop on hop off) worth getting on the 13?
Question2. Will I have enough time to do Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum before Embarkation: at 4:00 pm? (not in any big hurry to get on the ship but don’t want to be a runner! LOL😨
Not sure what time were flying into NY. NCL is arranging or flight!
Can't vouch for the red bus tour; but if you are going to do it you can get discount tickets at groupon.com. Per google you will need 3 hours to tour the whole museum.

I just ordered two Aqua Pool Hammock floats from Amazon for our upcoming cruise. We have a couple long port days and we plan on hitting up the beaches and just relaxing. I was wondering if anyone else brings floats? I was originally going to bring a couple inflatable tubes and just leave them at the end of the day, but these get good reviews and I figure I would try them.
Not too worried about lugging them since they fold up. One day is Labadee and other days we will have a rental car so don’t really have to lug them around.
yes, I own the same type. They are great!

thank you for sharing, all looks delish!

When you exit the bagage claim area you will be at the main floor of Terminal 3.
Continue straight ahead to the stairs to the metro station but exit on your right hand.
The bus stop should be on the side of the road a few meters further ahead.
Other options are to take the metro to Amagerbro and change to 5C there or the regular train to the central station and take 5C from there.
Notice that it will be towards Sundby plads or the airport from there.
The easy thing with 5C it that it works like a train/tram on the road, you can use all doors to enter and exit and just have your ticket/rejsekort ready for inspection.
Its a Bendy bus as they are called in England, I don't know the US term but its a bus with a wagon/carriage attached to the rear end.
Thank you!

Danish Viking, would like your opinion with taking a bus from the airport to our hotel as the bus stop is across the street.
Are bus stops at airport easy to find/where are they located? Bus 5C towards Herlev Hospital or Husum Torv; stop is Politiorvrt across from Cabinn City Hotel-Mitchellsgade 14. Thanks in advance, Eileen

Send an email to visitorservice@kk.dk requesting a free City Map of Copenhagen; it shows all the great things to do/see. Actually shows a walking tour. Going over for 5 days pre-cruise. Enjoy!

I'll be on this cruise. I did a fall transatlantic on the Epic in 2016 and loved it. This itinerary will be a little bit cooler. North North Atlantic rather than south North Atlantic. What I did was look at average temps for our ports of call for October. Mostly highs of high 60's to mid 70's F. If you are big pool goer than this might be an issue - I expect it will be a bit chilly, unless the temps happen to be unseasonably warm. Although I assume hot tubs will be fine. There will be lots of activities to keep you busy during the day. Movies are often shown in the atrium or outside in SpiceH2O.
I think dress will be about the same as any NCL cruise - dress up if you want, or not. I'll likely bring one nice dress for the dress up or not night. It will mostly be cruise casual, just like the Caribbean. The clientele will be run older, very very few kids. I'm early 40's and I was definitely on the younger end for our last transatlantic. Most working-age folks can't swing 2+ consecutive weeks off work. If you need me, I'll be the blonde on deck 8 with a drink in my hand...oh yeah, my husband will be there, too. :halo:
Thanks, sure we will see you around!

Yes, the hot tubs will be open. The pool and slides will be too, at least some of the time. As you are going to NY it will be fairly cool all the way, so the pools won’t be very comfortable.
NCL has about 14 different MDR menus, so you are unlikely to get many, if any duplicates.
Movies are shown, often in the Atrium rather than the theatre.
I can’t really comment on whether people dress down. It’s not the sort of thing I notice.

Has anyone done a translantic in the Fall (Copenhagen to NY 10/02-16/18)? Sure it will be cool; are the hot tubs open? With lots of sea days; do they show movies in the theater? Do the menus in the dining rooms change up since there are 14 nights for dinner. Since it's a long cruise, do people tend to dress down for dinner. Sharing your experience will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Eileen!

Are laundromats common in Copenhagen?
Does Sweden use Kroner also?
If I take the train into Sweden, will I get my passport stamped?
Thanks in advance, Eileen

Doing a translantic October 2018; Copenhagen/New York. Plan on spending 5 days prior to the cruise in Copenhagen; do I book on my own or use the cruiseline travel agency? Is there a savings or just a comfort level? Thanks! Eileen

Thanks for the suggestions!

How far from cruise terminal, cost of taxi, and is it worth the trip?

Will be doing the same in October the only sand beach I could find is Sorobon Beach, sorry, can not get the image onto cruisecritic. Just google Bonaire map images. Hope this helps.

Princess called back, they tried putting her mother's passport information in, since it was a duplicate it did not take. Was told to print off incomplete boarding pass and bring birth certificate and school picture ID.
So now I am the wiser, all minors must have a passport if sailing.
Thanks for the suggestion Jimmy.

How do you register a minor in the personalizer without passport or non-driver's license?
My daughters and grandauther will be doing the BVE for my Royal Repo cruise next Saturday. My grandaughter is 16 without a passport or non-driver's license. Without this information it comes up incomplete. Called Princess and they will accept her high school photo ID; but we can not figure out how to complete the personalizer without the above information, is there anyway around this? Awaiting to hear back from Princess, unfortunately I have no patience. Thanks in advance, Eileen.

Thank you, that site is very helpful, will check my suit, fingers crossed that it has a lining.

Thanks for the suggestions; looked at woman within and romans. I am a size small at best, not enough up top to support.
Wowzo, I will follow you and sew one in myself.
Thanks ladies! Eileen

I have a small build, hitting 60 soon so my figure is not what it used to be, am I the only one considering sewing a padded bra into my bathing suit? Does anyone else do this? If so, any tips or tricks to accomplish this sucessfully would be appreciated.
I wear tankini's or one piece suits.
Yes, I know it will hold water, but I am willing to take the chance.

Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed your views of the Royal, enjoy the rest of your vacation. Eileen
