Thank you! Awesome! Who did you do your Raiatea and Huahine tours with?

I want to surprise my husband with a day charter for fishing, preferably reef fishing. I can't seem to find an active website site about fishing in FP. Does anyone know of a charter company?

Here is more info: Danyel we were there 2 weeks ago and it was a great day! It was a wonderful treat from Windstar Cruises.. I had a massage and we did yoga, kayaking, paddle boats.. The lunch was delicious and it starts at 12:30 but you can go to the motu earlier.. there are beach chairs already set up for you! Enjoy!

I posted the question on Windstar's Facebook page and they replied saying both the Tahaa beachside BBQ and the Bora Bora Private event are included on all 2014 Tahiti voyages. Glad to hear and thought I'd share it with everyone. Anyone on the Aug 22 cruise?

Here is Windstar's answer:

I just posted the question on Windstar's Facebook page. I'll post the response here, if I get one.

I really want the Tahaa day to be for all cruises. I booked the motu picnic on Huahine because I wanted to do something like that. Suzanne, I hope you can get to the bottom of this, because I've called and talked to two different people and they both told me it would not occur on our cruise. I was soooo disappointed. Thanks so much for your help!

Bruno was willing to do the full day tour from either location. Because we will be leaving Tahaa a bit earlier (and want to enjoy the motu) we've decided to do the trip from Raiatea.
Did Windstar wind up doing the motu day on Taha'a? I called to ask if that would be on every cruise or just on the inaugural voyage and they told me it was just a one time special thing. Let me know if they do the motu day, so I can plan accordingly for my Aug. Cruise. thanks

We had 105 last year and absolutely loved it!
Cool. So when you look out your balcony window you just see water and mountains right? No view back to the hotel or other bungalows unless you lean around the side?

Thanks' date=' I love researching locations, hotels and etc. before our trips and I read some great reviews on Trip Advisor on the Hilton on Moorea. My DH requested a Panoramic OWB and with suggestion here on cc I requested any of the following bungalows: 109,107, 105, 103, or 87.

That's funny. I requested any of the same ones. Guess we get our Intel from the same place. Ha ha

Going August 22, and would also like to hear the reviews, what to do and what to avoid.

Since Wind Spirit cabins haven't been refurbed and I've seen two different examples of old cabins, which is the current Wind Spirit cabin- the red coverlet and blue carpet or navy coverlet and beige carpet? (please tell me it's the latter) :). And if there is no table, do they bring one in for room service?

Yeah, I don't drink more than 2-3 drinks/glasses of wine a day on vacation so wouldn't be worth it for me. Thank you for the info.

I worship sun and sand but must say that my Alaskan cruise is still the best one I've ever been on. It's well worth the cooler temps.

Thank you, Rugrats. That's exactly what I wanted to know. Sounds like Windstar is much more what we would like. What is the demographic of passengers on WS in Tahiti? They say on the line overall, it's 40-70 yo independent travelers but I would think Tahiti would draw a younger crowd. We are mid-40s and have been dreaming of this cruise for years with ideas of lots of very active excursions, but I was recently diagnosed with a degenerating joint disorder and may be limited in my excursions and was wondering if I was going to feel like the old person left out of the fun.

My husband and I (mid-40s)are looking at a Tahiti Cruise for our anniversary in the Fall. We aren't big on cruising as we are pretty independent travelers but a cruise looked like the most efficient way to see several islands to decide where to return for a longer stay. We are torn between Paul Gauguin and Windstar. Has anyone been on both that can compare them for me? Thanks!

Lol, recently I said to my son, who by the way doesn't have a job, a pot to pee in the or a window to throw it through, if he wanted to do a 4 days cruise. He said, it was too much work. He is a freshman in college.
I would like to try one soon.

Really? My son is 20 and in college and doesn't have much money because he spends everything he makes to travel. When he's saving for the next trip, he'll skip buying groceries just to sock more $ back for a trip. :). He gets the travel addiction from me.
