I recently found 2 CD's at Dollar Tree. One was titled " Spicy Party Music" and had Caribbean themed music on it. Lots of really good artists and songs. The other was " Tiki Party" and had music set for a Hawaiian or Tropical Island Cruise. I found them in the auto accessory asile. The weather here in Indiana is warming up so we have been playing them while using our grill out on the patio. It is getting us in the cruising mood, even though we are still several months away.
For our cruise, we will also purchase the shoe hanger. I will just leave it in it's original packaging until we get to our cabin and then throw it away when the cruise is over. They never fold up the same way.
Also found a color-by-number poster of a beach scene. It was in the color book section. It is about 8x10 and uses colored pencils not crayons. We are going to decorate our cabin door so I am going to incorporate this some kind of way.
Love, Love, Love this thread. Cari in Indy.
Just an FYI, I have refolded mine over and over. It's the see-through plastic kind. It doesn't fold down as small as it once did, but it does squish back into the side pocked of the suitcase. Also, if you do decide to toss it, leave it for the steward. He/she may find great use for it in his/her small quarters.
I'm going to Dollar Tree tonight to see if they have those CDs. Thanks!!!

First cruise.. asking a guy in the elevator where the "libido" deck was... meant LIDO LOL I got the weirdest look...
That's awesome! And perhaps very apt at times. ;):p

Okay, this has probably been done by many, but it's my most embarassing story:
On our first cruise in 2008, I left DH in the room and went to Lido for a snack. I wondered about the ship for a bit and then headed back to the room. I found our door and slid the S&S card into the slot, but it wouldn't open. I slid it again and again, but nothing. Suddenly, the door slams open and a very sleepy, exasperated man stands there blinking at me, obviously frustrated by my constant attempts to open THE WRONG DOOR!!!
Yeah, I couldn't apologize enough. Then I had to go down to guest services and ask what my cabin # was. I still get red thinking about it! :o

Very true, Dan. We just got off the Conquest this past Sunday and the food choices were nearly endless. For lunch we always checked the "taste of nations" and then moved on to the "grand buffet" on the other side which always seemed to have interesting and tasty stuff. Then we would check PC's wok (?), and then upstairs at Sur Mer... all of that BEFORE making our decision! :D Sometimes we ended up with a little bit from several spots.

We have some simple necklaces that were hand-beaded with seeds and wooden beads that we got in Jamaica. I keep them in a cheap wooden bowl we got there as well. Seeing this little display always brings back thoughts of our wonderful time there. :)
