YooHoo, it's about time...

After going on nearing 30 cruises and making platinum plus status, this is like a slap in the face. IF they do this, what additional benefits will they be giving to PP passengers? NCL is looking to make a $$$$ any way they can. Very disappointed.

The Lobsters, the Midnight buffets, The ability to bring on water and soda, 2 room stewards, the pool in the spa on dawn. Ahh good times.:D:D

Just trying to plan ahead, can anyone that is a Platinum Plus, tell me what night is the Dinner with Officers on the Escape Bermuda itinerary. Thank You.:)

We enjoyed the Grand Pacific much more than Magenta. The chairs in Magenta are horrible. They make you lean so far back. Very uncomfortable. Service is not as good as GP. The ceilings feel so low in Magenta also.

Thanks everyone for your help with this. Now just have to find the time in our schedule.

Hi, thinking of taking a cruise out of Boston next spring. I will be travelling with my daughter. My concern is parking. Is there a place to park and an easy walk with luggage? We are used to NYC Terminal and drop off, and I cant walk and do luggage very well so I was hoping for the easiest route. Thanks:)

We've done this twice on the Breakaway this year, once with my daughter, and the Hotel Director. The other time was with my husband and we eat with the Engineer. Both time were wonderful. It's one of the best things I think NCL has added. You really get a chance to get to know about the Ship and Its Crew. I'll keep signing up.

Can any one tell me, when they plan on changing up the entertainment on Breakaway? I've been on that ship at least 7 times since she originally sailed and I'm tired of the same entertainment. I was told long ago that every 3 years that it would go into a rotation with other ships. When is that going to happen? I have 3 more cruises booked and I'm really hoping something changes.

We cruise, because the minute we step on the ship the vacation starts and the world comes to us.

It generally takes about an hours from the time the ship enters the river, until its made its way under the bridge. If the ship leaves at 4:00 you shouldn't have any problem getting to the Manhattan club by 5:30.

Just recently returned from the BA and we had a mini suite right about the shakers bar. Room 9240. It was horrible. After 3 days of calling and talking to anybody, they moved us. The ship was full so we had to wait till someone was leaving while in Bermuda. They couldn't have been nicer to us. But the HD told us that there are at least 20 rooms on each ship that are not in the best location. You don't realize how loud it can be in that room at night. I don't think they should let anyone stay in that room...ever.....

We were on the Breakaway during the Valentine Day dinner. When we got on the ship the first thing we did was make our reservation at Le Bistro for Valentine. At that time we were told it was $20.00 per person. I wasn't concerned because I'm a platimum and knew it was going to be free. 1 day before the dinner I get a message in my cabin that the price had changed to $49.00 and the menu was changed. Not happy about this I made a call and complained. Was told the next day that the originial price would remain the same. Upon arriving at Le Bistro I showed them my coupon and again, a problem. But in the end it was taken care of. My husband and I eat free and our friends paid $20.00. If we had known at the time of booking that they changed everything we would have not booked. It's worth $20. not $49.00.

Thanks for the quick response. I feel much better now about our decision.

Just booked a spa balcony on Breakaway. Deck 14. Does any know if we're going to hear a lot of noise from the fitness room above us? On vacation we like to sleep in to as late as possible. Thanks.

I agree, boring. We walked out.. On the Breakway we got tickets to the SC Disfunctional show, hoping it would have different material, but was cancelled due to illness. The cast just did an improv show. It was OK. But glad I got my money back.

Great stuff... Can't wait till sunday when our's begin. Quick question:1: Most ship had makeup mirrors on desk. Haven't seen any in your pic. Do they have them? 2: Is there water and stuff in the frig? If so any problem having them remove it, so we can store our own? Thanks...

Great review. Count down 23 days to our cruise. Yippee... 2 question please:
1: Do the balcony staterooms have makeup mirrors?
2: Is there a weight / height limit on the rope course?
Thanks and enjoy your journey...

My daughter and I were on this cruise also. Reading your review brought back lots of fine memories. We stayed on board till the end and were glad we did. As you said many time, the captain and crew were fantastic. I rank this cruise as one my favorite....
What does Latitudes "Priority Check-in / Embarkation" mean?

Just got off the Joy, 10 day Canada and New England. I’m a Sapphire member. There is no priority given at all to boarding. Was hoping that we would see some other benefits while on board but Nope. Same as disembarkation. Nothing. Very disappointed. Other than 4 water bottles and 6 very small strawberries. After 30+ cruises with NCL I think it’s time to go back to Celebrity.
