  1. We've done B2B a few times and they're all run basically the same. You stay on the ship while everyone else is disembarking. You have a leisurely breakfast, go get the pick of lawn chair for the day, and walk around the ship to see all the little nooks and crannies that you missed during the first sailing. Then they'll ask for all remaining guests to join them in the lobby. You will fill out a customs form (bring your passport with you). You'll be taken off the ship with a few others who are doing the same thing. You clear customs, turn around and get right back on the ship. Then you can continue to explore or be the first inline for lunch....do whatever you want because the ship is all yours for about an hour (two if you're real lucky). I love the look on our waiters face when we show up for the second sailing....they're always surprised and pleased that they already know our likes and dislikes.

    Enjoy Enjoy!!

  2. It's late and I'm tired, so forgive me. Please clarify the two Sheraton hotels. Which one is across the street from the cruise port and I think next door to Senor Frog, what do you suppose is a good price to pay for a night at that location?

And where is the cruise port in relation to the airport?

  3. What are the chances of getting the same table/ wait staff on a b2b?

All you have to do is tell the maître d, he'll take care of it from there. We've done 4 B2B and when we tell the wait staff that we're doing B2B, they get excited for us and we all have fun knowing that our friendship will continue for the second leg.

  4. Has anyone used both QLS and SAS, both seem to have good references. But wondering if anyone has experienced both. Also, if we're a party of 4 being picked up at a FLL hotel going to POM, do we have to drive around to other hotels until we're full before getting on the road?

  5. Okay, I'm flexible. I thought a location in between the two would be convenient for not having to go far either direction. So how about a location that's cheap, has a grocery store next door and a free shuttle from FLL to the hotel. And if I can stretch it even further...from the hotel to POM. I'm I asking too much.

  6. This thread is amazing, all the info is very helpful. I'm starting to go around and around trying to make a decision.

Can anyone suggest a moderately priced hotel that's halfway between FLL and POM. We're looking for a place that has a grocery store and restaurant within walking distance since we won't have a car. Thank you!

  7. We got great rates into FLL but are cruising out of Miami. I've seen anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour travel time, can it really take that long?

Also, we want a hotel that's somewhere in between that is within walking distance of a grocery store and restaurant? AND, as if we're not asking for the world....a hotel with a shuttle would be really great.

Am I asking for the moon on a platter????
