I'm packed, Pat isn't.  He is a speedy packer, but I do have to monitor as one time he forgot to pack any shirts - fortunately I had stuck one of his shirts that I particularly like, in my suitcase.  So now I check!  We are flying out at 6 a.m. on Sunday, meet Sailingdutchy and his DW in Toronto, and fly on from there to Rome, where we arrive at 9:30 a.m.  I am not happy about the flights, but I think most flights to Europe are red-eyes.   Monday in Rome is expected to be rainy, but Tuesday is forecast to be sunny and 18 degrees (celsius - 66 Fahrenheit), so should be nice.

I sailed from Southampton to Boston in 2016. Very calm seas except for 1 day when it was rough & very foggy! It was a great trip!

I sailed on the Anthem back in Nov. I booked super studio 6648 with a balcony. Prior to my sailing I could not find much info on this cabin type.

The cabin was just the right size for 1 person with lots of storage & a great bathroom. The best part about it was the balcony. It was huge!! Probably double a regular balcony.

The location was quiet & convenient. The only negatives were the bed was very very hard & the room steward did not do a great job cleaning the room.

If I were sailing solo again I would book this category again.

hmmm, question, I just booked but when I added the reservation on the website it says it's on a 24 hour hold but I had to give them my credit card and they said its refundable up until final payment. do I need to call back and make sure this will be a confirmed booking or will it automatically move over from 24 hour hold to confirmed?

My reservation did the same thing yesterday. It was finalized within a few hours.

Beautiful Photos! Would you be able to post some of the main dinning room menus? I am on this ship in a few weeks & am curious to see how the menus differ from other cruises.

I have read quite a bit lately that the beds are really really hard on the ships. Did you find this on your cruise?

We check our bills every day. On every cruise we have been on we have been charged for something that was not ours. It has been on different cruise lines as well.

My favourite is the garlic bisque. Years ago I asked our waiter for the recipe & he was able to get me a copy! I had to scale it back as the recipe served 100!

We did a snorkelling tour in Ketchikan with Snorkel Alaska. It was incredible! Not a tour for everyone, but we enjoyed it!

Is it possible to purchase Voom Internet just on certain days? I will be on a transatlantic cruise & I will only want internet for a couple of the days at sea. Is this possible or do I have to purchase a package for the whole cruise?

We are looking at a back to back cruise on AOS. Will the entertainment and menus in the main dinning room be the same during both weeks?

We are torn between the b2b and a 10 day out of Fort Lauderdale.
