  1. We were on this Viking Cruise from Mar 23 to April 5 this year (2017). Couldn't have been more pleased. It was one of the best vacations we have taken. We did a 2-day extension in Paris which we strongly recommend if 1st time. Don't be put off by the negative comments on bus from Paris to Viking Ship at Trier, DE. The trip includes rest stops and city tour of Luxembourg and WWII American Cemetery, both of which are fantastic. All during the bus ride, the Viking Guide is commenting on beautiful scenery of French and Luxembourg countryside. The bus is roomy with large windows - you will be in Trier before you know it.

Same for the trip to Swiss Alps. Don't pass up on this extra Excursion. So many of our fellow passengers did not book this OPTIONAL trip and were so disappointed that Viking could not take additional guests. We have been to all major US and Canada Ski areas, but the views of the Alps during this bus and train trip were as good or better. If you choose this trip - you will regret passing on this Excursion.

Great Cruise - from starting gun to finish line.

Did you take the Glacier Express offered by Viking in Zurich?

  2. THANK YOU for the simple, understandable description of the Viking air options. Our TA mentioned the fees, but I think I was simply overwhelmed with all the information she was giving me as this will be our first river cruise. Now I know that we need Air Deviation and we may want Choice Air.

We called our TA on Sat. and requested Choice Air for $50/pp. I had gone online to see which flights had only one stop and were shortest in duration and even made seat selections, which I gave to her. She called Mon. and everything was confirmed just as requested. I then went to the website and was able to enter our FF #s. We can also upgrade to Comfort Plus. What a deal for $50/pp.

  3. In the past is has always been free....in fact I was looking to make a rez for January and I thought the shuttle detailed on their website. You normally book your shuttle time when you check into the hotel.

Thanks for Crowne Plaza info. We are trying to book with Super Shuttle online for the trip from the cruise port back to LAX. Do we use Berth 93 at San Pedro Harbor or LA Harbor - World Cruise Center? I called SS and the lady wasn't sure. Thanks so much.
