We used Larry's Private car and Limo service. Top notch! we had a group of 10, so we needed something larger than a regular van. They were prompt, professional and took CC. We'll definitely use them again.

I use insulin pens as well. I leave them in the box and have never had a problem. Most insulin pens are good for 45 days, I believe, at room temperature. You shouldn't have any problems. And Carnival does give you a sharps container.

Why Splendor?

I have a friend at work asking for my advice. They are looking at taking their first cruise in November. She is looking at the 7 day on the Splendor, but we noticed that the Glory has the same ports, just in different order. Which would you prefer, and why, Splendor or the Glory? I haven't been on either one. TIA

About how long does it take by bus to get from Hell back to port in Georgetown?

And how does the fare work? All I see are comments that it's $2.50 to ride the bus. Is that a flat rate no matter how far you go? So if stop at Turtle Farm and then stop at Hell and then to 7-mile beach and back to port...is it going to cost $2.50 for each leg of the route? That's fine just would like to know how much it is going to cost us.

Hi! We are cruising out of Galveston in August. We have never been to Galveston so thought we would spend some time there before and after the cruise. We are planning on spending two days pre-cruise and two days post-cruise. So...what is the best way to get around the island? Car rental the best way to get around and see the sights? Thinking about renting a car at Hobby airport, keeping it and parking it at a lot while on the cruise so we would have transportation after the cruise to get around and to get us back to the airport. To us this seems the easiest way to do this, less hassle. Any thoughts or suggestions?
