Hi all, I had a question on cabins after the bump out like eclipse 1048. Does the previous cabin’s bump out affect 1048’s balcony size or view? also is the bed near that balcony or bathroom?Thank you! 

Hi KroozNut, Regarding Playa dorado beach break, I am pasting in my comments from the ports of call boards below. My group was very unhappy with this tour, but we also met others later in the trip who were very unhappy as well. The major disappointment was the waste of our time in a new port, more than the waste of money. I wish I had taken pictures. I think regular timed excursions to the beach would be better since they did clean seaweed and trash up about 11am, but our excursion arrived at 9am. You may have less rough water when you go and lifeguards would let you in, but I heard it is usually rough water in general 🙁. That experience and a couple of not great entertainment (in my opinion) were VERY minor disappointments, but overall great cruise, ship, food, staff and itinerary!

And me 🙂. You are right that it was full, but small venue and not much else to do. Obviously did appeal to some,  just not quality I am accustomed to on many other RCCL ships

I agree retired dude! We have had some amazing piano entertainers in Schooner and many enjoyable nights there. We were  very disappointed too 🙁

I was saying to my husband that I think having so many sinks and staff watching for hand washing outside the windjammer at least partially reduces germs on all the buffet serving utensils, but unfortunately can’t prevent respiratory exposure 🙁. Sorry to hear some got sick.

I’m kind of embarrassed to say,  I had three pieces in dining room this morning before disembarking. Delicious!! I did have to ask, did not seem to be walking around with baskets anymore. Did have in windjammer.

Just got off today and had a great time and thought it was in better shape than others reported. Dining room food very good overall with just one meal out of nine that was fair. I thought windjammer food variety for lunch was great with lots of vegetables which I like. The only thing I did not like compared to the many newer ships was quality of production shows, but I liked the ice show better than other ships. I have been in diamond plus for many years and been on many ships and really enjoyed and would recommend. Itinerary was great,  However, do not  go to playa dorado beach break in puerto plata. Rough water all the time and dirty. Dominica emerald pool and beach excursion was great. They were the same price and Dominica one 10x better. Overall great experience!

LOL- I am diamond plus and today got a special delivery of one Apple, one orange and 10 grapes. Should have seen the look on my husband’s face when he opened 🤣. 

We also have very limited time in st Thomas on explorer of the seas next week 🙁. 12-6:30. I am not familiar with honeymoon beach or the ferry. How long does the ferry take? I would like nice beach with snorkeling and need to rent an umbrella.  Would you recommend  secret harbor or honeymoon beach? Thanks for any info/tips.

Hi all, my husband wants to golf in St. Kitts. To book a tee time, is ship time the same as local time?  Many years ago he booked a tee time at 9am and it was 8am or 10am there.

I would say a chance, yes. Likely, no. Too risky and stressful as other have said. I have done 10:40 - 11:30 many times, but would never do 8:40 myself and would strongly discourage friends and family to do so.

Hi, I have to avoid sun due to skin cancer reasons. I have never had a problem on any ship finding shade. my favorite is the solarium, but always able to find other areas if it is full. I recommend you scope out a nice shady section the afternoon of boarding. I usually go to that spot every day. I have a joke with my friends at work, “The weather looks terrible for my cruise - pure sun every day” 🤣. Enjoy!
