Again that is definitely very strange (being harassed by anyone), especially at Sapphire! Hopefully this gal was a short-timer there...Sapphire is the one beach we know we can enjoy with no vendors or strangers annoying us.

As for “not super impressed with the scenery”, all I can say is WOW! We are not avid snorkelers, but we rent condos at Sapphire just for the gorgeous and stunning island views and the beautiful beach and water colors. And for day visitors, if there are many of you visiting that day there is ample room to get a nice spot away from where folks tend to congregate.

So perhaps beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or maybe when this poster was there in Jan the greenery was still recovering from Irma. But owners we’ve had the pleasure of meeting and who have seen much of the world chose to live here and we understand why!

I agree. We have always loved Sapphire and we're still planning to get in a couple of weeks. I think it is just beautiful and peaceful there.

We saw them in Antigua a few years ago. They showed up at Runaway Beach where we were spending our day. They arrived in a couple of minibuses painted the same color and they were all dressed in white shirts and blue shorts. They were working out on the beach. The sweet lady working the little beach bar asked us if they were on our ship. I was nooooo, they are being way too active for us. I said we drink rum. LOL! She chuckled.

We went to Sapphire based on everyone's recommendations and we were harassed by a drunk local. It was very crowded and I was not super impressed with the scenery. We are trying to find a new beach to go to. If you got to Sapphire they do have a bar/food options there and snorkeling gear for rent.

Man, I hate to read that. We always loved Sapphire. We're heading there in a couple of weeks. I love to snorkel there.

  4. I have to agree with the OP in regards to the food. We've never had a problem with the rest that was mentioned. Last week on the Vista, by Wednesday it was like the food in the MDR took a nose dive. It wasn't as good, served lukewarm to cold at best. Don't even get me started on the Italian Restaurant. It was so bad that we don't plan to book that again. This is not enough for me to quit cruising Carnival, as we have 2 more booked, but it is just disappointing.

  5. I think we got back at 2. The website will tell you' date=' they have the next group coming aboard, so they are prompt. You might be able to hire a taxi to take you around. We were happy to go back on ship.

    Have fun!!!

Thank you for the info. I think we may be booking them for our cruise in 2019.

  6. We loved the atmosphere of the Red Frog Pub and the drinks were awesome but we were not crazy about the food we had. Now the conch salad was good but we were not impressed with the wings or the conch fritters. With that said, I'd still go back for the drinks and to try other things on the menu. :)

  7. We loved staying on the Lido deck of the Breeze. We literally were 1st inside cabin when you came in off the lido deck (can't remember the number but I know it was the same side as the red frog rum bar). Wasn't noisy at all and we loved being so close to everything. We would book that room again in a heart beat. We mainly take the stairs but I don't recall ever having to wait long for an elevator when we did take them.

  8. As someone who has done the aft wrap balcony on the Valor before, I'd choose it every time. I would much rather have that than a little extra room. My hubby & I enjoyed having breakfast out there, lounging out there when we wanted to get away from it all & sitting out there in the evenings was just heavenly. Not to mention, the several parties we had out there. :D

  9. Highly recommend it! Last time we were at HMC, we picked Cabana #14, away from the crowds, etc. Never had a problem with anyone wandering into our cabana, etc. Although if your kids are small, you may want a lower number to be closer to the kids area. Anytime I go to HMC, I'll get a cabana. We enjoyed it that much. Also, get priority tendering when you rent a cabana. :D
