  1. We took a Private Van Tour with Tours Plaza in Cozumel. They responded quickly to my initial request and provided very good information in terms of where to meet etc.   The van was very clean and air conditioned.

Our driver was Gerry. He was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He took us all around Cozumel with lots of opportunities to take pictures.  We also went to the San Gervasio Maya ruins.  Gerry got us an excellent guide at the site, Fanny, and we really enjoyed the experience.

We enjoyed our tour and the time we spent with Gerry - thank you very much.

  2. I have been checking out transportation options for a Princess cruise - March 2018 - LAX to Double Tree in San Pedro the day before the cruise and return from cruise port to LAX. I want a private car or van so no shared rides. Thought I would use Supershuttle - Execucar based on the many positive reviews on Cruise Critic. However, I noticed that the reviews on Tripadvisor and Yelp are really bad. Reviewers complain that service is getting worse and worse. Has something changed over the last few months? Looking for a reliable company. Any thoughts and input appreciated. Thanks.

  3. Disembarking Star Princess 4/3/18 in San Pedro. The ship arrives at 7 am. Have a 1:10 pm flight and want to get to the airport as soon as I can so plan on doing self debarkation. I know "it depends" but, generally, how much time should I allow to do self debarkation and get through customs? Trying to figure out driver pick up time. Thanks.

  4. Thank you Sherri. I have been looking at their options. Trying to determine whether Ocean Spirit (65 people) or Ocean Discovery (147 people) would be better for three seniors. Thanks for responding.

  5. Three of us will debark Allure on Sunday, May 18. We plan to use Luggage Valet if available (flying Southwest). Our previous experience in port was a long, long line to collect our luggage and get off the ship and then an hour long taxi line. We were on Celebrity and it was spring break so this cruise is a little different.

We have a later flight so will go from the port to Bimini Boatyard for lunch. I know this is a short trip but we would like to avoid a long taxi line. Would it make sense to hire a town car to pick us up? It's not about the cost, one of us has mobility issues. Or, at this time of the year, will there likely be a shorter taxi line?

  6. We are staying at the Renaissance on 17th for one night pre-cruise in May. Have only been there once before and ate at Bimini Boat Yard which we enjoyed. Have read that there are lots of restaurants within walking distance but we did not walk around as we arrived at night. One in our party has mobility issues. What are the restaurants close enough to walk to for lunch and dinner? A half mile is probably our limit. Any places close by that would be good for breakfast? Thanks for your help.
