Our experience: 3 NCL cruises. Water, Soda, Juice, permitted in any amount. Any booze, beer, wine, etc. not wihout penalty of some sort. (just trying to keep it simple)

Not sure if it's fleet wide or not but, meeting with the ships officers at a get together the Chief engineer and the Captain said (on the Pearl) they work 10 weeks ON....10 weeks OFF. I think it's the same for the officer of Hotel Management (forgot his official title) but he has a home on Honolulu and Atlanta and his wife manages the Jewelry store on the Gem. All I got........:cool:

Oh ya..........we changed Captains mid-cruise. Was either Grand Caymen or Cozumel. So we met two.

We use Airtran from Pitt to Fll. Found it best to bookmark their webpage and check it daily as prices change when least expected.

We will be on our third cruise in Nov. flying out of Pitt to Fll. Being new cruisers and fliers we try and do our research and have found the following:

1) Finding a reasonably priced flight is, at best, a CRAP shoot. Cheap Air, Price line, Expedia, etc. put out the same info on-line (prices are the same). I have found it best to deal directly with the airline. Prices can change daily.

This may be a poor analogy but, if you need a new roof you can call a plumber and he will get done for you but, he is only the middle man. When I recently had a roof re-done who do you think I called??? Yep....a ROOFER. Wanna Fly...? Call an airline. Just sayin..........

As far as flying out of Pittsburgh I have found AirTran to be the most resonable.

At this point, Im thinking of one of two senieros..

1. Buy the flight out of Pittsburgh its 136.00+ because I like the early non stop flight

2, Wait and hope the return goes down...but then I have the what if factor, what I cant find a flight out..then I loose a days pay and hotel and food and etc etc..

Can you tell Im a lil stressed, Ive never had this problem before..

The Southwest Airlines schedules are up (as of this morning) for flights thru March 9.

 

I am not particularly happy. All one ways (coming and going) between Chicago and Fort Lauderdale are $188. I don't think I have EVER paid that in the past.

SWA Pittsburgh to Ft. Lauderdale was $259. one way. Now it's $263. (one stop) Airtran is currently $136. No brainer for us.:cool:

Could some of you florida specialist help me out.

 

I have been looking up the prices of FLL arrivals and they are very expensive :eek:and not all that great for time. Would we be better off going to another city and, if so is there some sort of shuttle that could take us there. Not sure we would save anythin, but was just thinking.
