  1. WOW!  This didn't really go the way I expected.  I was trying to save my husband from feeling out of place, yet comfortable.  He prefers nice shorts rather than pants but would wear them if needed.  However, I realized that I don't (neither would he) care what any person that was as judgmental as a few of you are really think.   My goodness.  Where someone is from, or how they dress, most certainly tells you nothing about their character.  Yet those who seem to dress appropriately pick on and name call others.  All I can say is WOW!  That tells me a lot about YOUR character.

Thanks to those who responded to the original question.  Much appreciated!

  2. On 2 different cruises out of New York I met guys that I talked to throughout the cruise and exchanged numbers with. Went on a few dates and still are friends with. No love connection but was great to make friends!

  3. Thank you all so much! The more information and advice the better!

I have thought about cabin location and noise. In January for the 2 night CTN we were just above the humidor. I worried about noise, for no reason, probably because it was a 2 night and it was cold. LOL!!

My boyfriend would wear shorts year round if he could. He will bring pants if he needs to - and I may make him wear them a night or 2. But if he can be comfortable (which means happy!) then even better! :)

I have read about bringing a power strip.

    Any other tips greatly appreciated!

Now I'm really excited and just left a message for NCL.

Does anyone have the dailies for a recent Florida/Nassau/GTC itinerary?

  4. Thinking of booking the Breakaway Bahamas cruise for November. I have been on the 2 night CTN but haven't been on for a 7 day. So, I have a few questions......

    Are there formal nights?

I have read that nice shorts (for a guy) are ok except for MDR, is that true?

Can you bring on a case of water and/or soda?

We will most likely have the drink package so alcohol is not an issue.

    Any other tips appreciated.......

    Thanks!! :)

  5. The problem with mounting the tp holder higher is that for shorter people, i'm 5'2", if you mount them higher they become face height and you can bang your head on it. There is one stall like this at my job. I avoid this stall if I can. What works for one might not work for another.

You probably should have taken their advice and gotten stitches. Mostly so that it doesn't scar and so that it would heal properly.

I wouldn't let that or a shower problem stop me from taking Carnival again. I look so forward to my vacations and choose to enjoy every minute of them!!!

  6. This is a great idea, however, in my humbloe opinion, not necessary.

What is necessary is people need to learn good sanitary practices. This would mean washing their hands!

Also, you need to sanitize before you go to the buffet and before you eat after you have gotten your food. Just because YOU sanitized does NOT mean that others have.

Until everyone is clean this will continue to happen. Unfortunately on a cruise ship you know where it comes from - other passengers. When on land there are usually not 3000 people in the same place for a week. Therefore, you would never know there was an outbreak. You would just think you are sick.

    Again, just my opinion. ;)
