  1. I realize that this question has been asked and answered many times, but I am having problems printing my luggage tags for my Aug. cruise. I have been on 35+ Royal cruises and have printed my passes in the past. I have completed my on line registration but do not see any place allowing me to print luggage tags. Anyone else having this problem, or have any suggestions for me? Thank you in advance.

  2. :)I have cruised many times with Royal, and multiple times on the Oasis. In the past however my husband has always been with me.

I decided this time I want to cruise alone, and have some questions. I am going on the Oasis, a ship I am familiar with.

I have my time dining, but I haven’t gone to the dining room for many cruises now and don’t particularly care to start now. For those of you that have been solo cruisers, where do you enjoy going to eat?

Are you comfortable going to the bars alone, I guess that question is more for the female posters.

Do you have the cabin attendant in every day? I don’t really see the need for it, I think every other day would be fine.

Any advice you can give me wil be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  3. Never gotten sick and I do this every cruise. It pays to be careful I work in a healthcare setting and I know where the pesky germs are and like to avoid them as much as possible.

I also work in health care, RN, and can tell you without a doubt that what you do is actually bad for you! we all need some exposure to germs to keep our immune systems strong.

  4. My mom would gladly talk to you about skin cancer - show you her leg, scars and issues she has walking a result of having surgery for skin cancer.

I don't think someone trying to be helpful about keeping yourself safe from skin cancer should be scoffed at.

I agree 100%. My DH can also show the resulting scars from skin cancer treatments. I don't understand the backlash at a poster that is only trying to help!

  5. Totally agree. We don't like the "bigger" ships at all - too many people and the ships are way too big. We won't even waste our time trying one. We've been so happy with the "smaller" ships! :D

If you haven't yet tried one, don't knock the bigger ships! you actually have nothing to base your criticism on.

  6. This! If I'm on a cruise, I want to know I'm on a ship. If I want a resort, I'll keep my feet on dry ground. I don't get this "it's a ship but you don't feel like you're on one" mentality - THEN DON'T GO ON A SHIP! There are plenty of non-ship places to vacation. Quit ruining cruising for the rest of us with these monstrosities.

How are the bigger sized ships ruining cruising for anyone?

  7. Does it really matter? How many ships have you not sailed? Back then it was QE2, Regal and Celebrity. I lived in the New York Area then, and mostly cruised out of NYC, with Caribe and Europe thrown in.

Now that I am ensconced in sunny south Florida, I'm not so eager to cruise as I do not need to "escape" the northern climes. I've got the weather, the palm trees, a beach and a swimming pool. Many nice restaurants also. I take it that Cocoa Beech is pretty nice too, just too northern for me! ;)

I take it you've been on QE2 a dozen+ times? How about Regal Empress? Nope! Only one Celebrity, on Galaxy? Great ship, but she's with the Germans now. Obviously I did not see any Cunard. We do what we can do when we can.

Having an opinion about a ship's size does not mean that one has had to have sailed on her.

A bit rude here! AA point can be made without all the sarcasm!
