  1. Hi All,

I started a low carb eating lifestyle about 2 months ago. I’m down 20lbs but I’m having a hard time getting my carbs down to 20 grams/day. I’ve been averaging 35/day. I use the Lose It! App and track everything I put in my mouth. I don’t eat breakfast, around 11 I’ll have 2oz cheese with a celery stick, lunch is minimal too. Dinner is healthy protein & veggies. I’m losing consistently, but wonder if I could do more. I test and I’m not in Ketosis 🤨 although I do not eat anything with sugar! Did I mention that I read Every label. Oh, but I do love a 3/4 c of sugar free pudding made with 2cups heavy cream/1 cup water.....could this be the reason?

    Any advise?

Are you using a program like My Fitness Pal to track your intake. The goal is to not have more than 7 grams if carbs per meal. If you track them you can easily see what needs adjustments. For me a typical day is B- Coffee with heavy cream ( eat at break at work) 2 hard boiled eggs smashed with salsa and 2 pieces of precooked bacon [i cook a batch on Sunday along with eggs and bring it all to work]. L- caprease salad D- a bowl of chicken fajitas or steak and asparagus .

  2. I had posted the bus price which is 7.5 Pesos. By the way, in Mexico they use the dollar sign for their Pesos which can confuse folks. So if you see $7.5 it means about 35 cents :). A taxi to the Malecon for $6 would be a good price. But expect taxi drivers to ask for $10 or more....and be prepared to bargain. Many locals call the high prices "gringo prices."

My daughter and I returned from our cruise just today. While in PV we took the white van ( there were several white vans and taxis right outside the ship ) They charged everyone $4 per person to drop off at the Malecon. The stop was where Starbucks was which worked for us to grab some ice coffee, Wi-Fi and air conditioning before we started our walk down the boardwalk.

The return taxi did charge us $5 each to get back to the ship.

  3. Besides tipping approximately how much US cash should someone bring for a cruise through the Mexican Riviera. I am assuming about 50 bucks or so for taxi rides would everything else be put on a card for dinners, drinks and what not

  4. Looking for ideas for bulk cooking for Keto. Breakfast on the run too. My biggest issue is that I work (commute) so much. I am running out the door early and by the time I get back I don't have much energy. Eat out too much for lunch and dinner.

  5. Barbara - don't see the request? Try again! Thanks

Esahuma, I just put in a request too. Doing a little bit of research on Keto and would really like to give it ago. Probably after I get back fr on my cruise since I am leaving on the 30th I if this month. My daughter is getting married next June and I want to loose 30 lbs before then.

  6. Don't take any food from the ship into port. They have dogs stationed right when getting off the tender checking all bags, purses, backpacks, etc. for fresh foods - even coffee. They will take it all away, including your cup of coffee.

Good to know thank you. Not that we would take much but we are smackers so I can see us having a little something in our bag.

  7. On another thread I was reading over the Fun Times they posted and on port day it said to keep your Sail and Sign card as well as your Government issued ID with you at all time. Can you take your drivers license with you instead of your passport when you go to port?
