We stopped in Kusadasi on a cruise in 2013. We did a private tour that included both Mary’s house, and Ephesus with the terrace houses. It remains one of our treasured memories.

We prefer the size of the HAL ships. Not only for the atmosphere aboard, but in the ports as well. I know we can't always predict how many other ships will be in port but at least I know the ship I'm on won't bring 4500 other people to the same destination for the same allotment of time.

Cruisemom - I am impressed by how long this thread has been going. I, too, would love a copy of your notes. It is so nice to have information in English when visiting sites. Thank you so much.
