Hey all,
Question if anyone has already cancelled an upcoming cruise under this new Celebrity policy...
Did you have to re-schedule the replacement cruise upon cancelling, or do you get a credit and can select the new cruise later? Thanks!
Just cancelled today, very easy and no you do not have to rebook.

Hello, Can anyone tell me how to get the reduction, I see I can save £140 but dont know if UK are allowed reductions.

I'm sorry I don’t know. If you booked with a TA perhaps you could contact them.
Hello I contacted Celebrity & was fobbed of with excuses, told me they had not removed the charge just added it to the Cruise price instead of showing separately.Took a screenshot of the price without the upcharge & within a couple of hours had received a new invoice with upcharge removed. Many thanks for making me aware of this

Unfortunately no refunds will be made, so I doubt they would take it off the cruise fare.
Thank you, I suppose we will find out when we board, or will we be informed beforehand.?

Is this for British Cruisers? & do you get the choice of a reduction in fare or are they just automatically upgrading everyone?

Yes 2 years ago we won a Transatlantic on a new NCL Ship from Southampton to Miami 10 nights.
This was won by liking a page on Facebook.
The ship was fantastic weather not but it was certainly a good prize, we were in an inside cabin which was not so good as we think they were still building the ship judging by all the knocking and banging going on day and night.
Would we do another Repositioning Transatlantic? no but it was free and we were not doing anything else at the time. Still enter competitions to win another so it can't have been all bad.

To many, hope this shows my latest countdown clock and not the old one.

Many thank's for that, we are going next year and although we have been once before will be seeing different ports this time.

Thank's all, we are normally deck 6 or 7 midship so would prefer to stick to that. Will give them a call.

Hi
Its many years since we have sailed with Thomson, we have booked 2 Deluxe Balcony Cabins and been told we will be either on deck 6 aft or deck seven. How accurate is this? will it definitely be where they say, told it is the cabins with a star.
Thanks

Just want to add my thoughts as we have just booked Discovery for 2018. Our first ever Cruise was on the Thomson Topaz way back in 2000, it did not give us the Wow factor that we get now with the bigger Ships but Wow did we have a great time Cruising the Caribbean.
In my considered opinion Thomson do a great job with there range of package holidays and Topaz did not dissapointed. I will admit to calling her a Glorified Ferry on another forum but I was just pointing out the style and size compared to the more modern Cruise Ships.
We have returned to Thomson for this our 6th Cruise because it is giving us what we want, and having read the reviews I am really excited and cannot wait to try her out.
Having sailed on 3 RCL Ships and also NCL we are looking forward to a smaller more intimate way of Cruising and I am sure we will not be Dissapointed.

I have been following this thread avidly for the last few weeks, since booking our first NCL Cruise. I just wanted to give my than's to all who have contributed, it is very much appreciated, we are now really looking forward to Thursday, happy sailings all.

Thank you both, really new the answer but needed confirmation re Hubby as he loves to get use of his dressy clothes. We do not overdress my long dresses are not ball gowns just normal evening dresses Hubby does have a fancy white shirt that he wears a bow tie with but will try to leave this behind.

Hello we are packing for the Escape Maiden on Thursday and debating on dress code. we know it is resort casual but love dressing up, will we be the one and only in long dress and bow ties?
Super excited

Thank's for that, this is what we thought, it's just a bit of confirmation we needed.

Well this is certainly an experience, phoned this morning and as stated told I would lose the deposit. Asked to speak to a supervisor and put on hold, eventually got fed up and gave up.
Tried requesting a call back but keep getting diverted, tried the c&A number and also diverts. Called again also told I would lose the deposit asked to speak to supervisor without being put on hold which she duly did. Supervisor then states that it's only USA THAT GET THERE DEPOSIT BACK. Then asked for him to reprise for just the two of us and he comes up with a price that is more expensive than I can do online if I cancel and re-book.
Getting ready to cancel completely hate all this hassle.

Thank's for all your help, have done a dummy booking and at the worst we may have a few hundred to pay. Let's hope they are in a good mood when I phone
Another question, would it be better phoning Crown and Anchor as I had a rotten time booking this as I did not realise it was no longer based in the U K.

Hello we booked Anthem when it first opened for 3 Adults in a Grand Suite. Now 1 Adult can no longer go, the Cruise is booked for the 15th September 2015. What will be the cancellation charges and will we have to pay extra as there is only 2 in the Suite now?
I realise I can get the answers by looking on the site but I want to be sure before I book to cancel which is the best way to go. Do we cancel the 3 and rebook for 2 or just take 1 off the booking?
Help please.

Thank you every little helps.

My choices would be, Costal Kitchen, Grande, Chic and Silk don't really fancy the other one. Would love to try a couple of the speciality's but will see how things work out. Also fancy trying Balcony dining but in 13 nights it'going to be difficult to fit it all in.
-
Thank you for all help received, it seems if we change the booking, it will be less to pay. Also factor in the Explorer is £1000 less than the Anthem so really it's a no brainier.
-
I would love some advice please.
Booked an Anthem Cruise when it came out for 3 Adults in September 2015. Have now seen Explorer is coming to Southampton in 2015 this is our all time favourite ship.
My question is, if we want to change to the Explorer is it better to book and then cancel the anthem or just change the booking.? Two points to consider, the itinerary is better on the Explorer and we will just be 2 Adults now not 3.
Many thanks.

After a lot of deliberation we cancelled this morning, both nearly 70 in good health although my immune system is not 100% due to Breast Surgery. We are not afraid of the Virus but the Quarantine & also missed ports that gave been on my Bucket List for Years. You also have the added worry of infecting others when your Cruise ends. Just not worth the risk.
