Can be done on the Edge. They even give instructions on how to get money from your room charge to the slot machines..  Done it on several cruises.  Have a ton of OBC on Equinox coming up.  Will see if I can get it out.

I'll be interested to hear about your experience aboard the Equinox regarding using your OBC in the casino!

  2. We just did this same scenario for our Solstice Hawaii cruise. We paid early and our Celebrity Vacation planner told me to watch for a price drop before final payment and call him immediately. AQ cabin prices went down - I called him and we received a $539. credit to our credit card. Watch this prices carefully!:)

  3. Thank you. I checked them and none of the policies seemed to be any reason to cancel. I was so confused (not that it was unusual for me LOL) But I will call them tomorrow.

Another vote for the trip insurance store.:) Steve and his team are very knowledgeable and can answer all of your questions. We just booked our trip insurance with them for our April cruise.

  4. Go to this site https://www.hop-on-hop-off-bus.com/lisbon/lisbon-hop-on-hop-off-tour_23592

At the bottom of the 'Overview' section is a link to download the route. Stop 9 on the blue route is outside the cruise terminal. The nearest stop on the red route is stop 20, but its a good 15 minute walk, so get the blue route first and change somewhere if you want to, although that stop will probably be crowded, so maybe a walk to stop 20 might be a good idea.

    Thanks, Simon...you are the best!

  5. Celebrity has denied all rumours.

We are more than just mildly interested as we are booked April 29, 2018, on the Solstice from Honolulu to Vancouver. Will closely follow this developing issue.

We will also be closely following!! We booked the Honolulu to Vancouver on 4/29/2018, as a replacement for our Equinox 2017 which was cancelled!

  6. I'd recommend renting a car, driving to Canberra and sightseeing there for 2-3 days and then perhaps driving the coastal road back to Sydney.

Having lived for several years in Canberra, I can attest that there is more than enough to see and do for several days. If you like art and museums, there's the National Gallery of Australia and the National Museum of Australia. If you like history, there's the fabulous Australian War Memorial and Lanyon Homestead. If you like native animals, you can get close-up views of them in the wild at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve or on the easy Yankee Hat Hike in Namadgi National Park (where you can also see aboriginal rock art). If you like good food and wine, you'll find it there too. See: http://www.visitcanberra.com.au

While I don't think a guided tour is necessary in Canberra, there is a HO/HO tour that you could take one day to get the lay of the land and then on subsequent days, you could visit the various sites on your own.

We are also looking for something to do prior to our 2018 TP cruise. These ideas are perfect for us, since we have toured much of eastern OZ.

  7. We much prefer the Diamond Lounge experience on Royal Caribbean to the Captains Club social hour on Celebrity. Much wider selection of drinks and for a much longer time. Typically the Captains Club social hour is when we are at dinner. Also Royal will put three drink coupons (restricted menu and hours) on your sea pass card that you can order at almost any bar (except in the dining room).

In any case we usually get a drinks package as a perk on Celebrity so the Captains Club social hour deficiencies are not that big a deal for us. We really don't feel the need for a drinks package on Royal with the longer cocktail hour and free drinks loaded on your sea pass.

Thank you for the affirmation that we will not be disappointed with the Diamond Lounge on Freedom of the Seas!

As I posted earlier, it has been years since we sailed on Royal. We found Celebrity and thoroughly enjoyed our "entire experience"! Now, we are feeling disenchanted by this redeployment, so it's time to move on!!

  8. I hope not because I'm rebooking on Brilliance TA for 17 April. Hate to see that one cancelled and going Caribbean for the summer also.

    Hi mike and Maureen,

We were looking forward to the Equinox TA and meeting you! We are very annoyed with Celebrities' alternatives, so we booked the FOS TA leaving FLL on 4/23/2017. It fits in with most of our post-cruise plans and hopefully we will enjoy this new experience!

  9. Well said!! We also were booked on the Equinox 2017 TA, had all of our post cruise plans booked, as well as airfare back to Boston!! Hardly did we expect this "blip on the radar"; however, we found a TA on the Freedom of the Seas that will work with our previous plans, with a few minor adjustments. We haven't sailed with RCCL in years; but, perhaps, the time has come to leave Celebrity aside.

  10. I do not know of anything at the moment off hand .if you are here for 4 days I would stay in Palma as it is a vibrant city. Look at Air BandB lots of small apartments on it. or contact me on shoeuk at hotmail.com

Thank you, Roger for suggesting Air BandB! I have never used them before, always booked through VRBO. We did find a lovely small apartment near Plaza Mayor!

  11. Thank you, Roger! I will probably be back to for more Mallorca advice regarding car hire and travel logistics!

    Carolyn

I'm back Roger! Before we book an apartment on VRBO, I wanted to ask you if you have any local friends with apartments to rent for our 4 nights in May, 2017?

    Carolyn

  12. HI ,

Yes 4 days would be fine to see all the major tourist spots the transport system is fantastic and the whole island is covered from the bus hub in Palma and no point is more than 1 to 2 hrs away.

Staying near the Plaza Mayor is perfect !! I would still hire a car which will give more options , In May the roads are uncrowded and user friendly

Thank you, Roger! I will probably be back to for more Mallorca advice regarding car hire and travel logistics!
