I just got off the Conquest today and there was "NO" NHL hockey shown in the Sports bar (or anywhere else on the ship) the entire week. They seemed to have a few ESPN channels but unfortunately they don't broadcast the NHL. They did seem to have NBA and MLB on just about every night.

Channel 5 in Boston just reported that the Dawn did run aground off Bermuda. They said that the coast guard is stating the ship is "NOT" sinking.

Not everybody has gone up in drink prices, MSC came out with a new voucher book that gives 18 drinks for $84! That's $4.67 a drink! And if you pre-order there's no gratuity added!

That is awesome! I sure wish Royal Caribbean would consider something like this.

Just returned from the Adventure of the Seas today. On the second to last day, they offered a 10 "House Drink" Package for $75.00. I have not cruised on RCI for a few years so I'm not sure if this is a normal end of cruise offer or if this is a step in the direction of offering per drink coupons.

We ended up buying Body Glove mask and snorkel sets - the most entry-level ones that are made w/ temprered glass. (My husband says tempered glass is important to avoid fogging up the glass a lot.)

Actually, tempered glass is used to minimize injury in the event that the glass breaks while being worn. Instead of breaking into sharp pieces like regular glass would, it will fracture into many fine (dull) pieces.

oligiz - Are the sets that you bought at Sam's Club the US Divers set that comes with the Trek Fins? (really short fins). If so, how well do the fins work? I'm thinking about buying this set but am wary about the small sized fins.
