  1. We did it in September the first night on the ship and really enjoyed it. We were tired from an early flight and the steak house is very relaxing and we could set our own time to go. We got the free wine and then finished in our dining room a few nights later. Its a great deal!!!!

  2. I have hesitated writing a review on the Dream this time. We went on the Western cruise over labor day and this is also our second cruise on the Dream. We are both seniors in our mid 60's and love to cruise. Carnival has always been my line of choice and still is for many reasons. But I do say that I was very disappointed in the Dream from the last cruise we took on it the first year it was in service. The wait staff was wonderful...no complaints at all but the food was never hot. Luke warm at best. In my opinion, Carnival has always had some of the best food so this wasn't expected. We finally ended up in the buffet more then we like because the food was hot there. Our room steward did his job but nothing special, barely spoke in the hallways, which isn't the normal. We found many of the staff to be unfriendly and would walk in front of you instead of waiting for you to pass them. Now that i've said that..i don't want anyone to think that all crew was that way because there were some very special people that took very good care of us. I know this isn't the usual in Carnival service and hopefully they will address it quickly. And yes, I did write a survey card to Carnival to explain our feelings.

I would not hesitate to go on Carnival again...I love their ships and the "fun" feelling you get with all of their cruises. We had a wonderful time and did not let the small things stop us from enjoying the week. A person's attitude is everything when you travel....things do happen but don't let it ruin your vacation.

  3. I am loving your review of the Golden!! We are going Jan 18, 2011 and you are giving me such good insite as what to expect. Last time I was in Hawaii was 1978 so I'm sure lots of things have changed. The pictures of the food makes my mouth water!!! Thanks for taking the time to let us enjoy your cruise with you.

That is great!!! Love your door....I wish more would get into doing it!!

  6. I've decorated our door twice and so far they have not walked away but I don't do a lot ..... just a sign with our name and the years with some cute scrapebooking stuff about cruising. Last Feb I had 22 cabins on the Glory and we made cabin doors for everyone as a group project and had a ball. It sure did help finding our cabin along that long hall way.

  7. I have decorated our door the last two cruises and plan to do the two we are doing next year also!! Not only are they cute.......it makes finding our room so much easier. So far we haven't had anything taken off our door!!!

  8. We just made 23 door signs for 23 different cabins for our cruise on the Glory, Feb 7th. We made a party out of it and just used our imginations. I used scrapbooking paper and bought different stickers and cute things they use for the scrapbooking that was about cruising. They are as cute as a button and if any of you are on the Glory for the Feb 7th sailing..........we are from Illinois and can't wait to have a wonderful time!!!!

  9. Thank you for telling us about the DIS boards...the signs are amazing!! I got so many good ideas for our upcoming cruise. I love Disney so I don't have to be going on a Disney cruise to use Mickey in my design...thank you again for telling us.

  10. :o Well, I have to say most of the food we had on the Carnival Glory was very tasty, especially in the Dining Room. There was one or two times I was not impressed in the Buffett. :( But the desserts were usually to die for, (Warm Chocolate Melting Cake:p ). And the service was the best I have ever experienced.

Now here is something quite odd, and my husband says it was just my imagination, all in my head. I drink ice tea, or sometimes juice or lemonade when we ate in the Red Sail. I say there was definately a very different taste to these beverages, as well as a smell. I wont say what the smell was, (not necessarily bad) but I am asking if anyone else noticed, or is my husband right about me and my imagination. He has drank so much diet cola his taste buds are burnt out anyway. Just thought I would ask.

God Bless those that love to sail the seas.

    Connie

Cant wait to see the blue of the seas again.
